Last night was the annual correspondents dinner in DC, and among the Hollywood glitter that showed up as usual in search of camera flash storms, and moments of interview heaven. But the star of the show is always the President, and Obama in the past has been adept at exercising his comedic chops, and last night was no different...

“Remember when the country rallied around you in hope for a better tomorrow? That was a good one.” – Kimmel.

“What’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? A pit bull is delicious.” – Obama.

“I have not seen ‘The Hunger Games.’ Not enough class warfare.” – Obama.

“This is how you know the country’s in bad shape. The president is starving. North Korea is sending him food aid.” – Kimmel on Obama’s weight.

“There’s a term for President Obama. Not two terms.” – Kimmel.

Now, in the past it has been said that jokes, and satire have a ring of truth to them in order to be truly funny. What is it that we could take from these jokes?

That obama has lost his comedic ability?
 
Jimmy Kimmel's answer of "nothing, any more" to "what's black and white and read all over?" fell flat with journalists in attendance, who had applauded moments earlier at a series of jokes about the weight of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Isn't it refreshing to hear "truth" being said in Washington, D.C?

Jimmy Kimmel's jokes hit a big nerve when he joked about liberal media's shameful partisanship.

For one night, truth is spoken, "The emperor wears no clothes."

Washington D.C. needs people like Jimmy Kimmel hitting those nerves every night. Remember "journalism?"

I didn't hear all the jokes but I did hear Obama say that Hilary has been drunk texting him from Cartagna... I found that to be tasteless and a little offensive. And after they had Bill in his commercial talking about what a "gutsy call" it was for Obama to order the go ahead to kill Osama. Takes some balls, I guess to follow that up with a crude Hilary joke.

Kimmel did light stuff honestly. If you want a guy that had balls look no further than when Stephen Colbert was there for
Bush's dinner.

Aw Jet, I am honestly bummed that you think so lowly of me. I actually got a couple of chuckles out of the Jokes, and took them in the humor of the night...

"boy eats dog world", and the Palin Joke about the pitbull being "delicious" were genuinely funny...
