In short, let's communicate to Latinos that Mitt Romney is a wealthy man by releasing his tax records on a cable television station predominately viewed by the Latino community to bring home the point that Romney can't relate on a personal, social or economic level with Latinos.

A clear political strategy easy enough to decypher.

Debate over...NEXT!

Didn't he already release them or did he just discuss them during a debate?

This "I know you are, but what am I" type of campaigning is thoroughly annoying.

I think he released 2010's returns after all the hubbub about it.

Mitt just filed for an extension on his tax returns.

Just saying, Obama did release his birth certificate. And you do not have to release your college transcript or taxes, so Obama is just following what Romney's fellow Republicans were doing to him.

Is this really considered Breaking News???

As long as Romney releases his tax returns in the next 3 years, then he wil be fine.

He hasn't even filed his taxes yet, so how can he realease them?

Yep, I'm sure the extension has nothing to do with Mitt trying to hide is financials as long as he possibly can. Or maybe his return crashed Turbotax.

He released the birth certificate.

As I posted later in the thread...3 years. At the time of this quote, it wasn't even April 15th yet. Romney still had time to file them, and he asked for an extension as well as released his 2010 return.

Is there any confusion, what so everm about Romney's personal wealth?

Is there a single person out there, that WOULD vote, who thinks that Romney is "just another Joe", like the rest of us NOT in the 1%, lol? Total non issue. And since when did liberals start caring about the personal wealth of candidates as a factor? Teddy Roosevelt was, and remains to this day, the single wealthiest candidate ever in office.

Not sure how an extension helps him though. It just puts the release closer to the election. He might as well get it out there now. Its not like anyone is going to be shocked by the fact that the guy is rich. He should embrace his wealth and his success, not run from it.

The short form had been available for years. It was proof in a court of law that he is a citizen born in Hawaii. He had long since been proven to be American. The two situations are not comparable.

This is my thoughts on the matter. Obama shouldn't play the whole gotcha game with Romney's wealth. Everyone knows the guy is loaded to the emph degree.

You'll need to ask Tim Geithner, Tom Daschle and Chuckles Rangel about hiding financials.

Or your college transcripts. How come we don't have Obama's Columbia and Harvard transcripts?

Can you provide a link to Romney's college and law school transcripts? :popcorn2:

Both of them, and every politician for that matter, should be required to release all of their financials as part of being a public official. And none of this "adjusted" income crap. I don't want to hear about how you pay 30% of your adjusted income. That is nonsense. After exploiting 5 million dollars in loopholes, SEN. JOE SCHMO payed 32% of what was left. YAY. But in reality he paid 7% of what he actually made.

disgusting politics at play here.

Has anyone in the press asked? If not I'm sure you can ask directly.

Why are you answering a question with a question? Just post the links to his transcripts ... and to his birth certificate, please. :popcorn2:

If no one in the press asked then there is no link! Again, why don't you request them? I can understand why you would ask an unanswerable question, but it's just so cheap. Obama on the other hand HAS been asked for his transcripts and has refused as they still aren't available. What is he hiding? What is his excuse?
