Turn your head and cough: President Barack Obama's re-election campaign on Thursday marked the sixth anniversary of Mitt Romney's health overhaul in Massachusetts with an online ad touting it as the inspiration for Obamacare. Never mind that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has vowed to kill Obamacare on "day one" if he wins the White House.

Obama's reelection strategy? Show the world how much alike he and Romney are. LOL.

Ah yes, sweet memories. Like this representative of the conservative Heritage Foundation extolling the virtues of O'Romneycare and of course taking credit for the Heritage Foundations formative role:

In 2006, Romney managed to get a healthcare plan created by the heritage foundation passed in a 87% democrat legislature. The individual mandate was created because it promoted personal responsibility rather than sticking everyone else with unpaid emergency room care, you could waive the requirement simply by putting 10k in escrow to cover potential costs. He even ended up vetoing 8 sections of the final bill, 6 of which were overridden.

Its fair to say that the results weren't spectacular, with coverage increasing for a substantial increase in costs. However, Romney made a good-faith effort at healthcare reform according to conservative principles that tried to promote market-based solutions in a very liberal state. His critics didn't do squat, and refuse to offer any alternative to this day. Its easy to attack other peoples work, its hard to actually create anything yourself.

Romney should face flak for changing positions out of popularity, but his party let him down by sacrificing principle and practicality simply to attack Obama.

It makes sense. All politicians lie.But usually in most cases they are not so blatant about it.Romney on the other hand has blatantly flip flopped on a lot of issues. He has did one thing and said another. This is why Romney is going to lose. For him to say he is a conservative or even a moderate is completely laughable.

If any third party, regardless of their left(idness) or right(idness) in this atomosphere... if they got decent funding and ballot access, could have a banner election year.

Oh dont you just love hypocrisy?
