They are demanding the immediate closing and ultimate dismantling of a recently completed nuclear facility deep under a mountain, they are also calling for a halt in the production of uranium fuel . This negotiating position will be the opening move in what President Obama has called Iran’s “last chance” to resolve its nuclear confrontation with the United Nations and the West diplomatically.

This is going to be interesting!

well since they wont let me go back to afghanistan,i await obamas screwup on diplomacy so i can have some more fun in the desert.:gunsmilie

Obama is demanding a great deal. This appears to be an all or nothing scenario, however, the current administration sure loves to talk and talk and talk. This seems like a set up for Obama's re-election bid if he comes out the hero.

I don't think the Iranian Regime will agree to the demands, it'd be nice but I honestly don't see it happening :(

Also ... "European allies, especially the French and the British, say they are concerned that Mr. Obama will want to keep the negotiations going, however unproductive, through the November presidential election to avoid the possibility of a military strike if the talks fail."

It looks complicated.

imo, Iran will reject the demands. They also will rant about the number of nuclear reactors, research facilities and bombs the US has and state we are a threat to world peace.

More than complicated, near impossible with Russia and China in the background. I think Obama will make himself look ineffectual with these tactics should he walk out with less than he wants.

If Ubama is ineffective, guess we'll have to leave it to Israel.

This is a pretty ridiculous demand.....

Ubama said as a candidate he would negotiate with our enemies without preconditions...Oh snap...another lie.

Don't like it? Put me on ignore because every time I use his name that's how it will be spelled.

Cool..... Continue not to remember the teaching of 2nd grade.

Especially an ego driven narcissistic sociopath.

I don't know about that... but i do know has done nothing but appease the Iranian Regime .... so I don't know what else is left in this last round of talks.
.

Yeah, but we have a president who is up for re-election. Never discount the aspirations or the ego of a politician.

Exactly. American Presidents are always making demands that they know won't be met. Anyone remember asking the Taliban to hand over bin Laden, or asking Saddam, Uday, and Qusay to surrender before the war started?

Yes, only they did not have nuclear weapons .... this is different, a different war this one will be.

Why on earth should it be the U.S's job to make these demands? The only demands they should meet are those already made by the IAEA
