The Gingrich Group, also known as the Center for Health Transformation, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in federal court in Atlanta on Wednesday. The bankruptcy filing marks an abrupt turn for a group that raised millions of dollars just a few years ago to support and promote Gingrich's health care ideas.

OK, so tell me how someone who allows one of his businesses to go bankrupt has the knowledge to save America's economy. Someone want to tell me again why is he running for President? So, maybe he is not really the best choice for Republicans. What do Gingrich supports have to say about this? Will you guys now pick either Santorum or Romney?

Not too surprising, given that it was recommending a health insurance mandate when Newt started running all over the country claiming that the mandate was sent from hell.

Abraham Lincoln declared banktuptcy. What's your point?

Why is Gingrich running for President? For ****s and giggles, obviously.

Musta been the same reason that Thomas Jefferson, U.S. Grant and Harry Truman ran.

He's extremely intelligent. Running is a form of branding and will give him a lot of revenue. Tiffany's ain't a cheap place to shop.

Thomas Jefferson, Ulysses S. Grant, Harry Truman, and Newt Gingrich.

One of these things is not like the other.

Given Gingrich's "cheating" on his first 2 wives and the 84 ethics charges that he received while serving as Speaker, "bankrupt" appears to be the operative word - morally "bankrupt" that is!

... I bet you if Obama had declared bankruptcy or even knew somebody who didn't pay their taxes apdst would be all over it.

But they all are similar on the apparent SINGULAR criteria that the OP was using to insult Newt Gingrich. Regardless of whether or not you think that Gingrich is on the caliber of any of these individuals, the fact remains that having an entity you created go into bankruptcy does not automatically suggest a notion that you are unable to be a successful President.

As one of a majority of factors I can understand adding it to a list of reasons you think Gingrich wouldn't make a good President. However, suggesting based on this one incident of a think tank he founded going bankrupt indicates he'd be unable to address the financial issues of America is ridiculous. It is along the same line as the conservative argument that becuase Obama's never ran or significantly participated in a private enterprise of some sort that it means he'd be unable to address issues with regards to the financial situation.

They are different, in that you won't readily criticize Jefferson, Grant, nor Truman over anything. However, you are ready to criticize Newt over everything.

He's a Conservative and you're a Liberal, which is purdy much all you need to know.

You wouldn't? Especially someone who didn't, "pay their fair share"?

Wait, of you course you wouldn't. Look how many people Obama wanted to promote, that didn't, "pay their fair share".

Libbo hypocrisy knows no bounds.

I think the accomplishments of Jefferson, Grant and Truman far outweigh any criticism about their personal experiences in the business world. Newt doesn't have accomplishments like those men.

That and they have nothing in common with each other. lol
