Trayvon Martin: Special prosecutor appointed in Trayvon Martin shooting case

I blame the police department, the homeowners' association and Zimmerman for this travesty...regardless of what happens.

I blame the police department because they obviously were not engaged with the homeowners' association regards any neighborhood watch program they had in place...if they did. (And I don't think they did.)

The homeowners' association, in one of their newsletters, acknowledges Zimmerman as part of their neighborhood watch program -- yet no neighborhood watch program for their subdivision is registered with USAonWatch.org. And, if it were, USAonWatch stresses in all of their training that volunteers are not to confront. Their job is to report.

And Zimmerman for getting out of his God-damned car. Neighborhood Watch volunteers are not vigilantes. He'd called the cops. They were on their way. End of story and Martin's alive. Zimmerman exits his car? Martin's dead. End of story.

The blame game...ok

Now that we're on the same blame game page.. Lets also blame Obama for race baiting in this issue

See how ridiculous this is

Only one to blame and thats Martin...End of story

... despite that training, Zimmerman decided to abandon his observation from the "safe location" of his car to go hunting for Trayvon after the youth took off running to get away from him. But George "the assholes always git away" Zimmerman would have none of that on his watch. He made certain Trayvon would not get away.

oh, Zimmerman did very well. He told the cops that Martin was on drugs, scoping out houses. He even added a little subliminal messaging "these assholes always get away".

he then approached Martin, got his fat ass tossed to the ground, made sure to call for help so that he would have a witness to his "distress", and then pulled out his gun and blew Martin way.

he then claimed self-defense, and the cops made no arrest. they didn't even check for drugs or alcohol.

game....set...match. One less "punk asshole", for Zimmerman to be afraid of.

Only one to blame and that's Martin...End of story

Please link me to the statute that says Black-While-Walking is against the law.

It occurs to me that these very same people who are defending Zimmerman would be hotter than hell if it were commonplace for the cops to stop pedestrians for questionning at random.

"Let me see your papers."

ric, I love ya brother, but please tell me what it is Martin should have done to avert this situation?

Most people have no idea of the rapidity at which violence occurs and most are woefully unprepared for it..

There is a balance that needs to be struck of course, but common sense should also prevail.

Neither Martin nor Zim had it in that fateful night

It was controlled by or as if....it was predetermined

I'll answer that question. The answer is provided by the call to his sister, when he said that Zimmerman was stalking him. She told him to run, and Martin replied that he was walking away from Zimmerman very fast, and thought he had lost him, then before the line goes dead, told his sister that Zimmerman had found him again and was still stalking him. Martin did everything he could to get away from Zimmerman, but Zimmerman chose to escalate the situation by not following the dispatcher's order to "don't do that", and continued his stalking of Martin.

So when you said that only Martin was to blame that was what exactly? Because your answer here is that he could have done nothing different to avert this.

Sadly I have to agree here dana. Gheeze, if he could have only made it home.

It is amazing to me that anyone here assumes they know exactly how this all went down. The truth will come out. Making many people look the fools they are for assuming they know the answer.

I just hope one good thing comes out of this mess. Get rid of that asinine law.

No one knows what happened beyond zim and the info collected by the agency... no arrest was made based upon the facts/ evidence at the scene.

Anything else you want to add?

.

The only person to blame is Trayvon. For attacking another person.

Is that what he tells her?
Or is that just your characterization of it?

Why is it people can't stick to the facts and have to characterize something to fir their preconceived and biased opinion of what happened?.

And thats the bottom line.

Martin's lack composure and common sense

Don't want to be treated like a criminal, don't talk/walk/dress/act like one. Dump the urban/ghetto/gangsta/ look/attitude right in the ass.

So the way you dress now is an excuse to be killed, raped and or murdered?

Good to know the Taliban are not just in Afghanistan

Yep, avoid death from over eager, Bruce Willis wannabe mother****ers by looking like a good, stand up white person.

Hey as a white person who sometimes wears a hoodie do I deserve to die by simply walking down the street? Presenting no danger to any property or person, do I deserve to be confronted?

He wasn't shot because of the way he dressed.
He was shot because he was in the process of attacking Zimmerman.

And just for the record so we can knock off this hoodie bs.
Zimmerman was observing Trayvon before he put his hood on.

I'd say, hoodie or no, confronted yes, die? nah....:lamo

Oh nose

He put a the hood of his jacket on, kill the bastard

He was shot because Zimmerman attacked him, lost the fight and shot him because he lost

Lets try to be truthful....critical, not hypocritical

Would that have happened to you or would this have happened to Martin aka @NO_LIMIT_NIGGA if either of you were wearing a suit and tie?

If you dress and act in a manner that is associated with a certain subculture, then you're going to be assumed to be a member of said subculture and treated accordingly

It seems to me that since we do not have all the facts the we are condemning each man. We are trying to blame someone for a death. The real outrage should be focused on the police for not being transparent with their "investigation" because of the highly charged nature of the incident. Had the police investigated a little more, made the facts open maybe people would nor be arguing so much.

I think the real issues are 1. The investigation
2. Has there been police bias (perceived) in past cases
3. Why are we making all these assumptions regarding the character of those involved. It seems as if we are assigning intent and bias to people we do not know based on very limited information.
4. What about the issue of violence, is there another way this could have been solve? Why is it OK that this ended in violence
