You missed the first four words of my post!They did, however, sign their names to the Declaration of Independence, which would have meant death for them if the Brits had found them, or if we had lost the Revolution and the Brits caught up to them later. They may have used secrecy, but they still put themselves behind the cause of America publicly.
Unlike these anonymous idiots, who can claim ignorance if they are ever found.

Do you honestly think the idea of a Declaration of Independence sprung up out of the ground from some tavern get together one Friday night and was signed a few days later? Com'on, man, the Revolution started long before 2 July, 1776 - it just wasn't formal until then.
