Anonymous Declares War on the US Government

Only radicals on the far left like the Occupy movement would like that.

Nah, dude. There are people on the right too who advocate a violent overthrow of whatever current US government they disagree with. For some reason most of the crazies go back in the house when the president is of their political liking.

I think they are too stoned to get violent.

Really, does any one think this will be other than a very short war? It's like a little kid poking a sleeping bear with a stick. When it wakes up, the kid is going to get hurt.

I hear right-wingers, on this forum and other places, call for violent actions to change how our government operates, all the time.

Like the Tea Party people who sing patriotic songs and wave flags, unlike you Occupy movement who, rape, pillage, destroy property **** in the streets.........

So anonymous declares war. Tactically, a mistake, now that your organization has declared war on the US, The US can turn around and treat you like an enemy combatant. Given Anonymous is basically an e-mob of cause du jour, I don't think much will come of it, but now the US government can claim rights and tools, they would have trouble justifying.

and talk about how the Tree of Liberty needs to be watered, while wearing a sidearm.

Redress they have already been violent, check out the Oakland Ca. Occupy movement.

I doubt the US will go that far, nor do they really need to. A bunch of people spending the rest of their life in federal assrape prison is enough.

Unfortunately, NP, that's not true. Some on the right have talked about "refresh(ing) that tree of liberty". I wouldn't support violence from any side.

they will cry & bitch about police brutality, as soon as they get clubbed for trying to stab a cop.

Yeah because there have been so many reports about Occupy members stabbing cops

On topic: This really doesn't mean much as it will mainly be a cyber "battle," (I use that term lightly) where Anonymous tears down some websites and that's it.

All the comments in this thread supporting rape are disgusting, vile, and shameful.

Sorry I go to the Tea Party Rallys and don't see it, and I watch the occupy rallys and they are the total opposite.

Nah - I don't think life in prison is justifiable. A month in general population will scare most of these kids straight.

"We are not calling upon the collective to deface or use a distributed denial-of-service attack on a United States government agency Web site or affiliate. We are not calling upon the people to occupy a city or protest in front of a local building. This has not brought on us any legislative change or alternate law. It has only brought us bloodshed and false criticism," the video says. "For the last 12 years, voting was useless. Corporations and lobbyists are the true leaders of this country and are the ones with the power to control our lives. To rebuild our government, we must first destroy it."

...such idiots. bumbling idiots. I bet their favorite movie is "V for Vendetta".

I didn't say they were necessarily from the Tea Party. There are many right wing groups in the US. Here is some republican saying violent overthrow "is on the table"

Repub: Violent Overthrow of the Gov‘t is ’On the Table’ | Video | TheBlaze.com

On Thursday, Texas Republican congressional candidate Stephen Broden said he would not rule out violent overthrow of the government if America continues down its current path.

In an interview with WFAA-TV, the Dallas Morning News reports, Broden said that a violent uprising “is not the first option,“ but it is ”on the table.”

According to both reports, the sentiment expressed in the interview is similar to ideas expressed in the past.

I see it every day with the Occupy movement and there may be some on the right but no way are they as prevalent.

Can you provide some examples? .

I don't agree with Anonymous' call for violent action.

However... what do people think is going to happen when our economic depression worsens? It's going to. Western governments are scrambling to keep this economic model alive. Unlike the depression of the 30's, this depression is about the system itself.

So what's going to happen when people can no longer care for their families, or themselves?

Anonymous doesn't have to call for anything. The writing is on the wall.

Heck, there are some people that should be put in the Special Sodomy Unit of a max security prison. Child molesters spring readily to mind. This is a topic for a different discussion though.

No they don't, which in the same term, shows that anonymous is a neutered mob, if they ever become the threat they wish to be, The USG can resort to this sort of rhetoric for extra-constitutional powers as we've seen implemented by the last president, expanded by the current president. they cut thier noses to spike thier face or some such.

Lucky for them, they are actually rather impotent.

What if it gets worse? Oh no! Not that! Anything but worse! Wait, You're going to take time out of your downloading to help create a new government you say? Well then all is fine and dandy and we can let it get worse. After all, Anonymous and people like you will help rebuild a new government once this one implodes.
