Pharmacist Foils Robber

This northwest pharmacy had been robbed so many times by the same suspect, that they actually had a picture of him tacted up back behind the counter. Police response time was noted to be slow in that area, So, when he came in again, to rob them, with no gun in sight, pharmacist, Susan Beller, maced him but good! She didn't use ordinacy mace, she used Bear Repellant mace, so that she didn't have to be too close to use it on him. He ran out of the place so fast, it would have been difficult for anyone to jump on him. He didn't get away, because he was so affected by the Bear Spray that he was later apprehended when we showed up at a local hospital! Ha!

As a future pharmacist and current pharmacy technician I appreciate her guts. However, if the robber was armed it is best to give into their demands. He could have easily pulled out his weapon and killed the pharmacist, her staff, or her patients. Retaliating puts others in danger. The correct course of action would be for the pharmacy to hire a security guy and also for the police to aggressively pursue this person.
 
Oh, I agree, she was probably too brave for her own good. But, it was a great video to what! That Bear Juice is potent stuff.

Hell yes, it is. I accidentally discharged some in my house this summer. Quick, tenth of a second burst, and MAN was that rough. At the tail end of the video you can see that it's even affecting the pharmacist, after she tries to get one last shot in and turns around she's noticably affected herself.

That store's gonna need some serious decon.

Good thing he didn't have a gun. I understand this store's frustration after being robbed twice before and the police not being able to do anything about it. It was effective this time. But fighting back doesn't stop violence, it just makes criminals more violent. Next time put a tracking device on the drugs or something.

kudos to the pharmacist with the foresightedness and courage to take out one of the bad guys
the police could not/would not do it
someone who was not a coward did
 
This would have been a perfect oppurtunity to shrink the criminal population by one. I would have had a .45 waiting for him, instead.
 
Yeah! With a .45 you could have killed the robber and someone standing 25 yds. behind him.
