Lack of honesty? How about and let's be honest about the CAPABILITY of both Islam and Chritisnity. Both have the capability to be good or bad depending on the interpretation of it.

It is DISHONEST to say ISLAM is a violent religion when we have PEACEFUL Muslims able to practice it, just as it is DISHONEST to say Christianity has ONLY had a history of peace. Both religions have proven that they can be good or bad depending on the followers. It isn't the religion that is the problem, it's the interpretation of the religions.

The point of the analogy is that you're promoting immoral/harmful behavior in order to quell behavior that is even more harmful.

It is YOUR OPINION that is is immoral, not mine. Your opinion is no greater than mine, however, abstenince only has proven to be an ineffective means to curb preganancies and STDs in the U.S.

You can't get AIDS from spit. If you're only screwing your wife, and you guys didn't sleep around before getting married, odds are very low that she has AIDS.

the fact is, "sodomy", legally....includes oral sex between a married man & woman.

of course, SCOTUS struck down these laws, but as far as many states were concerned, oral & anal sex between married man & woman was indeed...sodomy.

I may have been wrong on that then; that's something to look into.

I do know that AIDS/HIV can be spread through sex, whether straight or homosexual.
