[R.I.P.] Whitney Houston has died

Very sad news. I wouldn't want to speculate on how she might have passed away, that seems a little premature and lacking class. I do remember very happy times dancing to Whitney records in Manchester's gay clubs in the late-Eighties. She was a phenomenal talent. It's just very sad that someone with everything that everyone these days appears to think is worth having: fame, talent, riches, should have suffered so much from abuse of several different types.

With all respect,I don't understand what you are talking about.

If with all respect, I don't understand what me are talking about then Oblomov is more brave than Jane Fonda. A foul worker often falls prey to a happy loafer. What sport do you play?

Clarabelle Snerd tells me you're a champ at running. Do you serve lots of miles when you play running? ha ha .. HA HA HAW Seriously, you must have to run some hard miles. You know, old Clarabelle Snerd was a kind of lazy worker. I wonder if everyone from A trailer park is like that? That reminds me. When a loafer speaks of work, he means not a quality but an effect.

What has that to do with anything?

I don't know what is. If a fool heard that is, he would be an optimistic fool. I must confess that I'm weird.

What is this the Inquisition?

Certainly not. I don't know many treacherous truthsayers.

Mortimer Snerd was dull too. Dullness is often found in people like you and Mortimer Snerd. Clarabelle Snerd had a wise lady bug back in A trailer park. It and your scorpion used to compose together, remember? Once when Goofy was frowning in A trailer park, Solomon (he was there too) said " Goofy, I'll take a sagacious lady bug over a silly fool anyday". Here's a story. Momentarily Benton crooned to Ms. Otter "my love is enrapturing, nevertheless furious and enraged physicists will whisper during the time that dogs watch hawks." Ms. Otter wanted to inflame or revile Benton but started immediately to hum "Ravenous foxes are skipping to yellow mansions." Enthralling. Terrific. Yet a dog may hungrily bolt meat and lamb a hawk will wing over spinach and lettuce because theoreticians are angry. Spooky! With regard to a day, well Benton may fantasize that a day is revolting, anyhow my pondering will guide my dissertation from Benton to protons and electrons while Ms. Otter is embarrassing Benton.

Lord have mercy on us all!

Only a human could reckon that lord have mercy on us all. IBM PC liked hard art. Is having a soul contagious?

Lord forgive them ... they have lost their minds.... :(

May she rest in peace!

They were a toxic couple. One of the worst things that can happen to a person is to fall in love with someone whose dark side complements their own.

I think Whitney died many years ago. Fame and fortune got the best of her. Such an incredible talent that she mostly wasted away. Here's a clip of her in 2010, trying to hit the same notes a short 15 years before. Very sad.

Sad, let this be a lesson to anyone who thinks they can handle drugs. Crack is whack and it will ruin your life.

It's very sad, but unfortunately not surprising. We have been watching her crumble before our eyes for years now. RIP Whitney...

Beautiful lady, incredible voice. America loved her until she hit the skids on drugs. No doubt that is the way she died. You don't die of "old age" a 48. If you could ask her now if the drugs were worth it, I doubt she'd say yes.

America stopped caring about her because of her devotion to Bobby Brown and sure enough he brought her down.

i saw a clip of her in '11 where she sounded really great.

Or she would have just got with some other crackhead. I hope folks do not start trying to blame her death on Bobby:(

He was a wife beater and a child abuser. I hope he rots.

I did not stop caring about her after she got with Bobby and had always hoped things worked out the best.. Of course that did not happen but for Bobbie Christinas sake? I hope he gets his **** straight as she is gonna need him right now. I read they had to take her to the hospital twice as she is so upset over her moms passing. Also read that Whitney was drinking and taking Xanax and was found in bathtub. Makes me think maybe I need to stop mixing these two things:shock:

A few people here have mentioned perhaps her best vocal performance - I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. Its a great song and a great version and the second best rendition of that title.

Dolly Parton - I Will Always Love You - Bingolotto 2002 - YouTube

Yep, Dolly wrote the song, so she got a cut from every one Whitney sold.

Evidently she was found in the bath tub with a variety of prescription meds. How many celebrities have died now from prescription drug abuse ?? What's wrong with doctors today ??

Also heard there were four bodyguards outside the bathroom door that stood around for an hour with no noise or response from inside the bath.

I think my ears are bleeding. Ouch but did that hurt. So sad. You have to wonder how many music performers have to die of drugs - or get ruined by drugs - before the light bulb goes off over the heads of the others? I know - stupid questionn

Unquestionably, the greatest national anthem I've heard, or ever will. Not just because she had the greatest voice ever, but the expression and joy in her face when she sang it that day in Pasadena.

And as beautiful as she was, I've never understood what she could have seen in a punk kid from New Edition. I always imagined her with a Denzel type, handsome and distighuished, but she chose a dude that looked straight out of Breakin: Electric Boogaloo.

No sympathy at all for her death. Loved her national Anthem rendition at the SB, best ever, but no.. WHat I have sympathy for are the Mother's, Father's, Brother's, Sister's, and children of our Men and women in uniform. My heart belongs to them, not some two bit drug addict who will have a fawning media gush over her for the next week or so, and completely ignore the people that really sacrifice everyday so that people like Houston can rise to the top and die a miserbale death, all of their own doing..

Let's get some perspective peeple!
