Obama changes tune, urges fundraisers to back super PAC

The only thing it proves is that the incumbent is not secure enough to take what he would consider the 'high road'. Essentially, he is acknowledging that money talks and he's essentially a whore just like the Republicans are.

True, politics as usual, but how's that hopey-changey thingy working out for you?

Far easier to accept the cash, than to make rules restricting the flow of cash, I guess.

I’m not sure this is going to work as successfully for BHO as it has for the GOP. I believe the reason the GOP PAC’s are so well funded this year is that the candidates are so seemingly mediocre certain special interest portions of the GOP electorate can’t figure out where to send their money. They are instead sending it to the PAC’s who espouse they stand for this or that interest. BHO on the other hand is the only Democrat running thus there is no division on stance/position. His PAC’s goal would thereby be to counter the various GOP PAC’s and would surely garner more wealthy donors like Soros, Wall street and the Hollywood elite. I question their ability to garner much support from the average electorate.

I’m wondering whether Schumer and Franken are now going to be so vehement in their ‘attention drawing’ NOW.

Schumer was joined by Sens. Al Franken (D-Minn.) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), who will serve on a new Democratic task force charged with drawing attention to negative effects of super PACs.

This is decision is an extension of an earlier flop where Obama initially stated he would only use public funds.
