The ban on insider trading in Congress is moving along legislatively.
The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act passed has passed in the Senate this evening by a vote of 96-3.

Something that other people can go to prison for should be something that a Congressman can go to prison for too. They are not above the law. Kudos to the Senate for passing this bill.

per the article: Sens. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., Richard Burr, R-N.C., and Tom Coburn, R-Okla., voted against the bill.

Anybody with idea on their disagreement with such sensibly legislation?

I have no idea, but the fact that Democrats and Republicans both overwhelmingly supported this legislation speaks for itself.
