First I want to say hi! I am new to Debate Politics but not new to political forums. I am glad to be here and contribute to the discussions.

This article is about the OWS which I am not a fan of but found that the clash between the police and protesters have stepped up. I noticed the protesters are far bolder than before with throwing rocks and items and making shields. Makes me wonder how far it will eventually go.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Police were in the process of arresting about 100 Occupy protesters for failing to disperse Saturday night, hours after officers used tear gas on a rowdy group of demonstrators who threw rocks and flares at them and tore down fences. Here is a Youtube video of the action. Crazy stuff.

Violence, and images of violence, destruction of private and public property, disregard for lawful order, rape, theft, cultural Marxism is what OWS has come to stand for. In Oakland anarchists, and unemployed pissed off younger people are led by this astro turf movement started up and funded by George Soros and Ad Busters want...They are 'useful idiots'... the call now is for them all to converge on Chicago in a redux of '68... I hope that they occupy Obama's house.

This kind of scenario annoys me. I just now saw on the news that 50 OWS members were just arrested for breaking into a government building and destroying property. The thing about liberals in general is that they say you can't blame the OWS for any of the numerous acts of violence, YET, if the TP were to have 100 members rampage through the city, you'll see these same liberals banter about it. Utter hypocrisy.

I agree with that part. They need to occupy Obama's house, as well as the house of every other damn America-wrecking politician too, Democrat and Republican alike.

I'm more impressed with the antics of Code Pink, and they are a public and political nuisance.

LMAO that was funny. Those protesters cant throw worth ****. Then turn tail and run like a bunch of babies. They probably are not much to worry about when protesting. My guess is that chicken ****s like those wannabe revolutionists would do something stupid behind the scenes.

The funniest part is that they have shields with peace symbols and they brought things to throw at the cops. Did they not understand a damn thing about what they are doing?

I blame every city that decided to let these people camp out for as long as they want for the damage these occutards have done. And now they want to give them the boot now that the situation has kind of gotten a little out of hand. Its like letting a hundred cats stay at your house for a week and then acting all surprised that your furniture is shredded, stuff knocked down and the house smells like cat piss.

Yea but at least you would have no mice lol.

I love it. Those dumb a$$e$ put up peace signs, and they're the ones instigating the violence.

Whats even funnier is that they are still trying to say that it was the police that were being violent. I guess their reasoning is so bad that they cant figure out that if someone brings weapons to a protest it is not a protest but a riot.

Whats is even more telling is that the normal supporters that usually come into threads like these to protect the movement are nowhere to be seen.

Watching the video of those wannabe revolutionists wielding tin roofing and shield while throwing weapons that they brought for the sole purpose of trying to harm the police is damning evidence that the occupy movement is desperate. But they believe or at least are trying to assert that America is a dictatorship on the level of Nazi Germany. They are engaged in revolution in their minds. Things will keep progressing in that fashion. Oakland is the first change in their war against America. There will be more battles that will mirror what happened in Oakland. After that they will go more covert. The most likely avenue that the Occupiers are headed towards is assignations and attacks on buildings. They are headed towards the same terrorism used by the IRA.
They keep telling themselves how they are justified in there actions. A few months a go the occupy supporters online were offended by any violence by protesters. Today that attitude has changed. They are are slowly progressing towards being part of an violent revolution.

#SolidaritySunday with Oakland Marches in NYC and Across the US; Bank of Ideas Being Evicted in London | OccupyWallSt.org This mic check was read before the march in Boston:

1) once again we are here for oakland a mighty city and a fierce ally in the international struggle for economic justice

2) yesterday our brothers and sisters moved to convert a vacant building into a community center to provide education health care and housing services for the 99%. Police responded with tear gas, flashbang grenades, rubber bullets, and mass arrests.
3) The city of Oakland has a longstanding policy of callous indifference when it comes to the needs of its community it has compounded this cruelty with a ruthless display of violent repression.

4) we also recognize that the corporate media has a vested interest in justifying violence against the occupation movement city councilman de la fuente referred to protesters as domestic terrorists

5) we ask you what is terrorism? we are 19 cities marching in unison in solidiarty with oakland is this terrorism? we seek to reclaim
the buildings left vacant while our families suffer is this terrorism? we seek to build a worldwide commuity where there have been only nations is this terrorism?

6) when the state is invested in keeping space empty the better to serve its billionaire masters we will act and when the police are bought and paid for by corporate leviathans we will fight

7) and when our children ask us what it is that we did when their future was threatened we will tell them that we occupied

NYC General Assembly # Occupy Wall Street

It is clear now that the occupy movement is an direct attack on America. I for one will not tolerate occupiers trying to destroy my country. If they want war they will find war. I say war because Americans will not go willingly in destruction. Anarchy, Socialism , Leftist revolution its all the same they hate America and want to replace our culture. they keep crying class war while engaging in cultural war they are the embodiment of of intolerance. Again where are the supporters of the occupy movement on DP now?

This makes me sad. I simply can't support them in this...I WANT to support a movement that is about removing, or at least, reducing corporate influence and control of american politics, and at ONE point, THIS was the vehicle...

But no more, it seems. Now it is truly just a mob.

Heres a tip...stop voting for the recipients of those corporate bribes...

It was rarely more than just an unruly mob.

I'm not concerned with MY voice. I do a LOT of homework before deciding who to toss my vote behind, both on federal and state/local elections. But I am, I can't help but feel, largely alone. So, some vehicle, some force of change, that would make it at least HARDER to vote for frauds and sell outs...by removing them as an option...would have been very nice to get behind.

I would challenge that. 5 months ago, they were not what I would consider unruly. Where they making headline news for infractions? Yes. There numbers were projected in the low millions, though...sporadically across the country, and even over seas. Obviously, with numbers like that, incedents are going to happen. I mean, I can take the front page news, apply to the whole of the US, and then infer that the US is an unruly mob of murderers, thieves, and adulturers. Which would be a pretty unfair assessment for most of us, wouldn't you say?

If those '99%' ers had all en masse dumped their voter registration cards and switched to...say...the green party...can you imagine the apoplectic shock that would have caused on BOTH major parties? As it is...they talk bull**** about being opposed to the influence of banks and corporations on politicians, but they VOTED for them...and they will do it again.

The occupy movement did not start on its own organically. There were leaders despite the claim that there wasnt any leaders. The masses have gone back to work and left the leaders to themselves. And those leaders are now using violence as their method of choice to try and get the masses back. Oakland was nothing more than a photo op. The designed something that would fit into their propaganda that portrays America as an hidden dictatorship. They are hoping that the sort of supporters will comeback so they can again claim numbers. But the more that those sort of supporters step back and watch what really is going on the farther away they will position themselves from the occupy movement.

But what they have achieved though is that most people on the Right view any anti wall street or by inference anti corruption effort as an Leftist attempt at revolution. If I was one of those conspiracy nuts this would make me think of some wild stupid theories. lol

Eh, after going to two of them, one in New Haven, and one BIG one in NYC, I can say that there are about....3% there who put in some effort before voting, in order to prevent the accent of the same old garbage.

It's too cold to protest right now....they should wait, and recruit again in the summer. Proper protesting is a summer time sport.

You forgot the kitchen sink and the antichrist's rise to power...

Sort of my point. If they REALLY want change, ****ting on cop cars and breaking a few windows isnt going to incite progress...its just going to turn what supporters you had against you.

Oh, ha-ha... I get it. Soros is to OWS as the Koch bros were to TeaParty....

Yeah, real funny... The way you just made up something you wished were true so you could make a valid point...

I won't even bother to point out you failed to included links or proof, because I know none exist.

Yep, bet you can't wait to spring your quotes and links to Mediamatters and Thinkprogress on him to prove your baseless allegations, right ??
