In any case, it's a weak attempt at diversion. I have been talking about Republican hypocrisy -- not defending Bill Clinton. Obviously you can't deny that Gingrich was ****ing around on his second wife (after ****ing around on his first wife) while he was attacking Clinton over his affair with Lewinsky.

Clinton testifed because he was ON TRIAL for sexually harrassing Paula Jones. How did that trial end up? Im making absolutely nothing up...simply stating facts...which I know you dont want to hear. Your hero...the example YOU brought up, was whacking his monkey and asked a campaign staffer to kiss his junk. Thats what he was on trial for. He lied about the other affairs, including yes...sticking his cigar into the vag of a WH aide (who by his own definition was a child) and then smoking it while under oath. As I think I just mentioned, the Jones lawsuit ended up being DISMISSED. That's the lawsuit that she didn't bring when the incident allegedly happened. It's the one that she waited two years and 354 days to bring -- two days before the expiration of the statute of limitations. The one that was handled by a series of right wing activists? The one where she was attempting to blackmail the President?

Your 'hypocrisy' charge is idiotic...at best. Dood got popped DUI. He was .02 over the legal limit. Thats bad...thats a crime...that is all. Unless Georgia has changed its laws, alcohol is a 'legal' drug'. Are you suggesting there is something...anything in the legislation he supports that would deny people benefits for drinking...even drinking to excess? Of course not...but hey...dont let the facts get in your way. One has nothing to do with the other.

Because he is suspected of DUI does that mean there should be no tests done on welfare recipients? Or any government employees? What does state legislation have to do with the actions of one person?

So Democrats don't care if welfare recipients are on drugs it seems. Just give them the money and leave.

But of course that's their constituency we're talking about.

Dismissed, refiled and settled out of court. Oh THATS whyat it is...a bunch of right wingers fault...not a president who had multiple affairs, who used his cigar as a dildo in the oval office on a White House aide 40 years his junior while being married, who was accused of sexual harrassment (and duck and dodge...he no less settled) who was accused of rape and sexual assault, who was heard telling his 12 year mistress on tape telling her to lie about the affair. Of course they have something to do with each other. A substance abuser who wants to test the down-and-out for substance abuse is a hypocrite. End of story.

As far as testing those applying for public assistance, there is no basis that I'm aware to think that they are any more likely to use drugs than anyone else. So why should people who are obviously strapped for cash have to pay to have themselves tested for drugs (as the Kipper would require)? Do you suppose the Kipper will reimburse the state for his multiple tests? Having admitted that he was over the limit and that he lied to police, will he henceforth refuse to take his salary, which is after all paid for by taxpayers?

The president appealed to the judge to throw the case out...the judge granted the president his motion, preventing the case from reaching conclusion. Jones attorneys re-filed and this time Clinton settled before the trial started, giving her a settlement of $850k (unfortunately and too late...he had already lied under oath...shame that). Another judge ruled that Clinton had lied and itentionally mislead the jury in the previous trial. The whole sordid event was referred to the Arkansas bar which stripped Clinton of his license. He was NEVER found 'not guilty' of the event. Add this one event to all the rest of his escapades, and he is one dirty monkey. Damn that 'vast right wing conspiracy' for causing your hero to have the morals of a mouse.

They appealed the judges decision to the 8th...2/3s of the judges on the 8th were going to rule in Jones favor......Clinton settled and paid the woman $850k. Play all the semantics and word games you want...Clinton paid up because he knew it was going right back to court and he had already lied under oath. Multiple affairs...some pretty diusgusting visual representations of his behaviors...your hero.

Wow, you can read the minds of the Circuit Court judges? You could make some serious bucks as a legal consultant.

In any case, a settlement is not an admission of guilt. More often than not -- especially when the case has already been thrown out -- it's done to avoid the hassle and expense of further legal action. As far as expense goes, Jones ended up netting only $200k after she paid her $650,000 legal bill.

Typical of many lawsuits...the costs go to the lawyers and the courts. Did he or did he not settle? Was the case thrown out because Clinton was innocent or because Jones failed to prove personal damage? Could Clinton be guilty and Jones still not able to prove personal damage?

He did settle, and that says nothing about his guilt or innocence.

Then of course you probably shouldnt have brought him up. As for Kip Smith...you have read HB 464 then? You can show us which illegal drugs Kip Smith used or where he stated he or state employees shouldnt be tested and how that relates to a DUI charge? Of COURSE you didnt, havent, and cant.

The attack of hypocritical Republicans against Clinton was illustrative. I notice that you don't seem to want to discuss Gingrich's multiple affairs, or Livingston's, or Barr's out-of-wedlock cheat child.

As far as the Kipster's bill, it only applied to applicants for public assistance -- not all state employees. A Democratic lawmaker did, however, offer a bill to extend the testing to legislators. Perhaps she'll amend it to require all legislators to submit to a breathalizer before entering the chamber.

I dont care about Gingrichs affairs. I dont care about Clintons affairs. I care that he lied under oath, I care that he sexually harassed and assaulted people. I care that he lied about it and dragged the country through the mud. I care that he and his wife looked right square into the cameras and lied and blamed his idiotic behaviors on the 'vast right wing conspiuracy' and that idiots lik you still claim it. having an affair?
