Three individuals - including a former top aide to Gov. Scott Walker - were charged Thursday with felonies as part of the ongoing John Doe investigation into Walker staffers.

One Walker staffer is charged with 5 felonies, which include theft. Another is charged with 2 felonies, along with misdemeanor embezzlement, and a third is charged with 2 felony counts of child enticement. More charges against other staffers are to be announced soon.

To Walker's credit, his administration did ask for the investigation, and he will not be charged with anything, but he should have known better. Against the advise of his legal staff, which told him that the event in question should be handled by a charity, he instead privatized the fundraising, claiming it would save the taxpayers money, even though none of this was being paid by taxes. Walker pretty much opened the trough for his cronies, and they began feeding at it, like the pigs they are. No, Walker is not guilty of any wrongdoing. He is just guilty of cronyism and incompetence, which is not a crime, but a huge problem of ethics instead.

That this is breaking during the recall process is bad for Walker. I had previously maintained that he would be recalled but win the recall election. After this, my prediction is that he will lose the recall election as well. The Democrats are going to have a field day with this.

Article is here.

The whole John Doe investigation thing is not something I'd heard about before the one involving Walker. I wonder if it's unique to Wisconsin, or exists in other states as well.

The people of Wisconsin have had enough of this shyster. The only people still supporting him are not the kind of folks that other folks care very much for. Video after video is popping up of real assholes attacking/harassing the recall signature gatherers. Not sure there are enough assholes to keep him in office. We'll see.

 Good luck to y'all !

Walker got elected in the same wave when all the GOP candidates took congress. That was where the pendulum was when the elections rolled around. Just like the rest of the nation suffering from "Buyer's Remorse" due to the last election mistakes, Wisconsin is also suffering for their errors as well.

We're just lucky we can have a do-over. Too bad we can't throw out all the GOP'ers we elected last election cycle. But it's a start.

We won't get fooled again.

LOL ... there is nothing in how anything was conducted to put Walker in a bad light. Folks were dishonest, and his office found evidence of wrong-doing, and then called for the investigation.

Had he been a liberal, he'd have covered it up ;)
