I don't think he is neccessarily old fashion towards women, I think his problem is he has never met gay people and is too young to remember the Village People.

So he thinks all homosexuals are the ones like Homer Simpson likes, because as we know Homer likes his beer cold, his TV loud, and his homosexuals Flaming.
 
I think marriage, serving in the military and especially adoption should be front and center. A great disgrace in the US is the problem with adopting children. Any single crackhead can have a child but responsible people must jump through hoops and are discriminated against. Give the kid a chance; give the kid a home.

I haven't met a woman I don't like, except for maybe a few "orcas". As far as meeting or knowing gay people as you call them, how can you miss them, they're so flamboyant you can't miss them and I do remember The Village People, far too well, never liked them, still don't. You on the other hand want everyone to like you so you accept everyone; I simply don't care if people like me or not, but I do at least speak honestly.

See, the problem is the only gays you realized where gay where flamboyant. I grew up in rural Michigan with a gay mother, so I was around gay people since I was 7 or 8. Most of the gay guys in that area, the most feminine thing they would do is discuss which gunrack to accessorize their pickup with, the maple one or the cherry one. Can't go plastic or plywood, that would be gauche. First rifle bigger than a .22 I fired was owned by, and I was taught to use by a gay guy. First time I went hunting was with a couple gay guys.

Where in the world in Virginia do you live, because I've known gays in southwest virginia, northern virginia, and newport news virginia that don't fit that in the least. Are some like that? Absolutely. And many do have various traits that seem common amongst the homosexual popularity, in part potentially due to a subset culture. But all "flamboyant"? Ridiculous.
 
I don't understand how someone can be pro-life and anti-gay-adoption. I also don't understand pro-life and pro-capital punishment. Hell, I don't understand pro-life and eating/wearing animal products so perhaps I'm a bad example.

Where I live is not important to you. I call it as "I" see it. You can be their butt-buddy all you want, you can even let some guy marry your son...me, I believe it is wrong as well as repugnant.

We are just pointing out that what you see and what reality is are two entirely different things. You have displayed an amazing lack of knowledge about gays.

You don't have to know about a certain product to know it tastes like *hit, and you don't have to read volumes on a subject to realize you don't like it.

Some people like flavored coffee. Personally I can not stand the stuff but I see no reason to keep others from enjoying it.

You know, my little brother grew up hating onions and refusing to eat them. We told him time and again he might just like them if he tried them. He was stubborn. Finally, he tried a green onion. He loved it.
