Feds: Couple claimed welfare, lived in $1.2M home

No, they bail out their companies so they can continue to receive their large year-end bonuses.... Oh, that was another fraud.

No, they run for the Republican nomination for President .... oh, we aren't discussing Newt...
My comment to you in the other thread still stands, plus you are hacking here.

No, not at all. I'm just a realist and recognize that every system known to man is vulnerable to fraud. Thus I don't have a knee jerk reaction like, "It makes it very hard to happily support social spending programs when they are so readily used and often abused," on the basis of one egregious example. Any more than I would toss out the whole corporate form on the basis of an egregious example of embezzlement. Capiche?
Oh...so THAT is what you were doing. And THATS why you couldnt help yourself dragging the evil democrat bribe machine into the mix. I wonder if you actually believe what you type. :lamo

Of course...what was suggested was not kill the program but conduct a review of procedures so these kids of abuses are stopped. However I realize you have blinders on to anything other than complete utter kneejerk defense of all things liberal.

Yeah, great point. One bad example out of millions absolutely calls for a system-wide review.

How many more are out there? We just did this little dance recently and showed where there were literally tens of thousands of fraudulent cases in North Carolina alone. new York...FAR worse. We know California issues not food but credit cards with cash amounts and we have seen where people use their taxpayer credit card at strip clubs. We have seen articles recently from the abuses in Social Security with numerous fly by night offices springing up and billing recipients for unneeded services...costs running in the BILLIONS. Every instance takes away from people truly in NEED. But nah...you keep doing your head in the tight stinky place routine to defend your precious systems while their INAPPROPRIATE use continues. Geeeezus...You are more Pete than the Pete.

You can't blame them for the government being screwed up.

See, if any other person posted this I'd immediately think they were trolling.

Him, he probably actually believes the couple is blameless.

Yes, obviously there is room for improvement. Most of this is down to the states' procedures and not the feds. So what do you think we should do? Stop giving people food assistance?

Precisely what I said in this instance and every time there HAS been abuse raised as a topic on this site...review the system, adjust and correct as needed, punish the abusers, and ensure the people actually in need have access to the services they need.

Edit: For what it is worth, I work in this field and have at least as much hands on experience if not more so than anyone here. I see the benefits, see the abuses. I am all for social spending...EFFECTIVE and needed social spending at the private, local and where needed state levels. I would see MORE money in the system to address actual need and that can be accomplished by eliminating both the government bureaucracy and contract waste. If people knew how much money was wasted or dedicated to the problem and instead goes to others it would make their heads pop.

Well yeah, duh.

That may very well be the most intelligent thing I have ever seen you post with the added benefit of at least being brief.
