Of course, the drone pilots are blood thirsty bastards and the war is an unjust massacre of innocent people. It's a TRAVESTY!!! Cause some people on the internet said it was so.

i trust the judgement and research of amnesty international a whole lot more than the pseudo-intellectual quasi-literate ranting of an armchair general blowing smoke off the top of his head without any supporting documentation.

The entire notion put forward by proponents of this bill - i.e. that if you betray the US you should have no right to a lawyer - literally betrays Section 3 of Article 3 of the Constitution.

So if someone like Paul was elected president we could undertand him targeting those who support this for death. After all, an attack on the Constitution is an attack on America is it not?

I agree with that but there should be a line we shouldn't cross and that line should be the borders of our country. If they are on foreign soil then sure they should be treated like any other terrorist or enemy combatant. Constitutional rights should not be extended outside our borders. If they are on American soil then they should be treated like any other American facing criminal charges,its a dangerous precedence to allow the government to detain without trial or to execute without trial on American soil.

Just during a firefight, like in a war . . . you know, a real war, or if I'm in, say, England and I run across one, can I shoot him?

When you're trained to be a team NO MATTER WHAT its not hard to muster up to witnesses that will say whatever needs to be said during summary judgment right? Its not like it wont be people that already think every enemy that comes though a detention center is guilty.... Or someone that would do it for money. God forbid 2 evil people ever get behind the treason law mechanisms. Many would die simply off false testimony.
