I'm surprised WELCOME isn't on that list. IT people used to use it all the time.

I have a ridiculously difficult passwords I use...they are my own slang for italian and English words with numbers...I forget them all the time lol

I have fairly strong passwords, but I cannot stand the stupid constraints some websites put on them.

"Password must be between 6 and 8 characters, cannot contain spaces or special symbols, and cannot have any repeating characters."

Take your stupid rules and piss off!

Thank you, stupid IT people, for forcing me to make my passwords less secure than if you'd allowed me to pick them myself.

Nope, didn't make the list, but having "password" as your password is funny.

My bank makes me change passwords every 3 months.

I have a few 'standard' passwords that meet most criteria, but I hate when the constraints still make me modify them.

I read this stupidest IT help desk situations thing a couple of days ago and one was:

Woman: I can't get into the database.
IT guy: Do you have the correct password?
Woman: Yes, I saw my coworker put it in yesterday. It's *********. But it's not working.

I was thinking a stupid one would be mmddyyyy. That seems to be a common initial password prompt when activating certain accounts. I could definitely see people using it.

I hate passwords. I have to remember so many just for the Navy. I change my NKO password every time I don't have my card available to sign on, which has to have been at least 2 or 3 dozen times by now. It is horrible trying to think of 14+ character password that uses 2 uppers, 2 lowers, 2 numbers, 2 special characters, I haven't used in the last 24 passwords, and that I can easily remember, and remember that it is for that particular site.

I made my password as the opposite of my ID (to put it roughly):
Example: ID: Roger69
Password: 69Roger

Believe it or not, it was pretty secure

Oh no! This means that people could potentially hack my low-security "I can't believe they're ****ing making me register to view this ****" e-mail accounts! They'll have access to thousands of unread porn spam emails! They'll be able to access sites I only went to once for obscure (probably pornographic) content and promptly forgot I ever visited!

Excuse me while I pointlessly upgrade my "Couldn't give less of a ****" passwords to something like "Tb;W8xF{9" so that nobody, even me, will ever be able to access those accounts again.

This bugs the crap out of me too. I have so many different passwords that I have to remember at work (and all of them change, and at different frequencies) that I finally had to resort to just keeping an excel file on my computer with a list of them.

Did you hear the one about the blonde who was contacted by Google because her password was too long? It was mickeyminnieplutodonaldhueylouiedeweydaisygoofywashington. When they asked her why it was so long she replied

"WEll, Helllo! You were the ones asking for eight characters and a capital!!"

Which would, quite ironically, be more secure than passwords following the "rules" the weak-chinned slack-jawed genetic errors in the IT department enforce. Especially when they couple those goddamned impossible to remember password rules with "security questions" to reset your password. Here's a clue for those of you whose batteries don't produce enough juice to run your vibrator and your TI-82 brain at the same time: any "security question", literally any ****ing security question at all, is not only typically shorter than a good password, it is easier to guess by entire ****ing orders of magnitude.

Remember Sarah Palin's email accounts being hacked? They didn't have to guess her password. They only had to guess-- by which I mean "google"-- her ZIP code and where she went to high school because you, in your infinitesimal wisdom, decided it was a good idea to have a system in place which allowed people to bypass your entire password security system in its entirety. After making that password system, itself, inconvenient and difficult to use properly.

I would dearly love to help fortify your gene pools, you misbegotten autistic ****stains, but I doubt that I'm even interfertile with your particular species of ignorant ****-flinging primate. The best I could hope for would be to travel back in time and set your grandmothers on fire.

edit: Uhm... yeah. The "you" I keep using here? Totally not bowerbird or any other poster on this forum. Just the kinds of people who write the kinds of systems that I'm forced to deal with.

It's free and easy. I've used it for years. It helps for those sites that you don't visit very often.
