Personally I find this quite disturbing if law enforcement can follow your GPS, than they can follow your every move. If you don't have a GPS in your car, there isdefinitely one in your cell phone. This will allow for a blatant invasion of privacy that should not occur. We've already had our civil liberties under attack from the Patriot Act (Loss of US Civil Liberties: Patriot Act), We can't afford to lose any more of them.

Citizens traveling public highways should have no expectation of privacy just because police are tracking their movements through GPS rather than in person, the U.S. government argued Tuesday in a case before the Supreme Courtthat pits the interest of law enforcement against individual privacy rights. The dispute springs from a situation in which police affixed a GPS tracking device to a suspect's car without a proper warrant. It monitored the suspect's movements for several weeks, noting where his vehicle went and how long it stayed at each location.
