The thing is, legislation is rarely individualized. Such decisions would be made in situations like the OP.

The situation with the person in the OP was definitely wrong.
I'm just saying that, some times there may be reasons that could justify it.

Although it's a scary premise either way.

I agree that there are appropriate instances where it should happen. My only problem is that it would become mandatory for the "wrong" people. And who then decides who the right and wrong people are to sterilize?
