I haven't really heard anything new from the right in the thirty years I've been paying attention. New talking points. Same exact ideas.

Some of those 'tired ideas' involve balancing budgets and 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'.

What exciting ideas has the left come up with that has proven positive?

Hippy clothes were in fashion in the nineties. And will be again. Fashion is cyclical.

No, they were not.
And frankly, economics is WAY too much like astrology for my taste. Especially the kind that says completely free markets would solve all our problems and hold no peril whatsoever. Don't buy that for a minute. I can see the negatives of over regulation etc., but don't trust people not to abuse ANY system, and don't see any way totally free markets wouldn't result in corporate feudalism.

If you find economics too much like astrology you should refrain from discussing anything related to the subject.
