Excellent. Every time a world dictator goes down, it's good for the general atmosphere. Here's hoping a few of the worlds' tyrants are sitting a little less comfortably tonight.

Deposed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was captured and wounded near his hometown of Sirte at dawn on Thursday as he tried to flee in a convoy which NATO warplanes attacked, National Transitional Council official Abdel Majid said on Thursday.

The senior NTC military official told Reuters by telephone that the head of Gaddafi's armed forces Abu Bakr Younus Jabr had been killed during the capture of the Libyan ex-leader...

Hooray!

Okay celebration over.

Now we just have to make sure the factions within the NTC don't start another civil war, the young, untrained men of Libya who took up arms against the Libyan Government relinquish their arms and that actual democratic elections and stable institutions can be established.

No sweat.

Apparently he's dead from a lot of gunfire. One account says he was hot in both legs and the head.

Only Americans? What about what he did to his own people and many others.

I hope the bastard is dead.

Personally, I am mainly worried about the black Africans in Libya as they are being massacred by the Libyan rebels. Also, I wonder what will happen to the Libyan rebels as they are quite fractured.

All reports now are that he is dead. Just another punk dictator meeting his inevitable end... and they all seem to end a similar way don't they?

I can't agree that America was involved in this, but I'm giving kudos to the WH and probably to Hillary Clinton for having a very lite hand in the entire affair. That said, the hard part now begins....

Yep just heard on the news hes dead....

He looks alive in that pic to me.

Finally the unaswered question all over the ME...

NOW WHAT???

Should be interesting to see.

People seem to have forgotten his past.

I believe that Qadaffi will be replaced by a regime that's as bad, or worse, but, I'm glad to see Qadaffi at room temperature. He had it coming for a long time.

I'm glad that son of a b***h is dead. Now, at least, the Libyan people can make their own mistakes instead of having a lunatic's mistakes foisted upon them.
