Big Win for 'Occupy Wall Street' Protesters?

Let 'em protest.

This is the most effective - and cheapest - election gains the Republicans can possibly ask for.

These are truly pathetic people. This is what happens when you don't bother to raise your children.

some of those barking loons ought to be featured on RNC advertisements. Like one twit who said that the military budget needs to be cut back 100%

Especially if the GOP were running against the OWS.

It matches my experience. More than that I can't say.

I don't mean that people are protesting w/o any idea of what that individual person is protesting, but rather that many individuals don't necessarily know what their neighbors are protesting, and, that the number of things that individual protesters have mentioned is very diverse and lengthy.

That's true. There are a lot of different political ideologies present in this protest. But thats part of its strength.

Since I am unhappy with the status quo in re our govts and their intimate and inappropriate relations with lobbyists, I am in favor of the protests even if I am not in favor of the individuals or their causes.
I doubt that they will make the situation worse.

These people have no problem with wealth redistribution just as long as it's directed at themselves and the needy few. They have no issue with the concept, just the results; That's why i can't take most of them seriously.

I told you all you need to know. Don't dodge my question from earlier.

O.K., I'll get to the point. Your question was STUPID. The kind that only those with little to add come up with. If you can't come up with a legitimate arguement, don't bother.

Now, do you have a legitimate example to offer?

demanding all debt be wiped out is nothing more than outright theft

Lol. It's funny because nothing in your post can be called a legitimate argument.
If my question is stupid, why are you trying so hard to dodge it?

So is demanding taxpayers money when you fail and should go down. So which is worse? Someone wanting something that is never, ever going to happen or those who screw up and actually do take from others?

A legitimate arguement can never be provided to an illegitimiate question. If you can provide me an actual example of something even close to your example, I'll answer.

The latter. Kinda like how AIG screwed up, took OUR money, and gave big bonuses to their executives.
Remind me again why you support these executives?

Do I support slavery? No.

Slavery has nothing to do with what I said.

Do you know anyone that is a slave? If so, I'll join you in your complaint. Otherwise, it's none of my business how many anyone else makes as long as they do not want my money to keep them from going out of business.

Perhaps you need to re-read what I said.

Clearly you didn't even skim the article. more than half of it is after the civil war.

Nowhere in that article was an example of this.

So you don't want the government to intervene if, say, 99.9% of the country were making four cents an hour, and the other .1% were making millions upon millions?

Okay, so now it has to be exactly like that? The fact that you refuse to answer my question unless I provide a real life example absolutely astounds me. It doesn't matter if it has actually happened in history. My point is that the government shouldn't stand by and let corporations treat their workers like ants. Otherwise, things like this will happen:
The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire of 1911

Sorry, is that not the example you gave?

If you think something that actualy is occuring is wrong, bring it up. Don't make up completely made up scenario's. Those are a complete waste of time. How many angels fit on the head of a pin?

I guess you misunderstood me.
The key word was EXACTLY. Earlier, you said "close to."
Also, the triangle shirtwaist fire really did happen. Lern2history.

In that case, I care less what the CEO was making. Do I care that a safe workplace is provided? Absolutely.

You think that's it? They weren't just in an unsafe environment. Look at this:
Working for the Triangle Shirtwaist Company
Allow me to do the math for you.
6:30 AM - 9:00 PM, that's 14 and a half hours a day, six days a week. That's 87 hours of work in one week, for a dollar and a half a week. that averages out to less than two cents an hour.
THIS, my friend, is how the lives of people like you and me will be if the corporations are no longer supervised by the government.
