Thinkers, as in great political and economical minds that try to figure out how to fix problems.
Protestors, as in fed up youth/older gents and ladies whose dissatisfied with the happenings and going on and want to tell the THINKERS what they all got riled up about.

From what I've been able to gather the occupiers are engaging in a solution finding exercise.

A very public discussion to decide what the actual problems are and what would be the best solution.

That apparently what's going on in the "general assembies" we keep hearing about.

clearly, all the name-calling against the OWS protestors as "Communists" is just hyperbole meant to scare America. But the fact is, this country is much less equal than it was just 30 years ago. Hell, if we went back to the income disparity we had when I was born in 1976, this country would be a lot better off.

Actually, what you described is still, "not thinking".

There is the first order of ignorance, in that they are in the largest market on the face of the earth that offers "Not being a cog" in one of the cheapest, most obtainable ways of all industrialized nations, yeah, I'd have to say they likely aren't thinking. You can stop being a cog today. Submit resignation. Fill out your SOS paperwork. Send in with a small check. You are working for yourself. For most industries, you can start selling your valuable goods and services, within a few days.

So they are protesting that? Quite the cunning plan.

Now, second order ignorance is the realization that no matter who you think you work for, you are NATURES BITCH. Yes, you may have no boss, but you still have to serve a customer! You cannot escape the necessity that earning money in most cases, involves doing what someone else wants, i.e. a cog. We're all natures cog, life, death, fertilization....

You didn't watch the Interviews they have? You can't tell by what people are saying? You don't have to get a useless college degree to tell when someone is going in the wrong direction or missing the point. But then again it's all an opinion. To some people their patriots to others their jobless morons/communist. Usually all three at the same time. Communist don't love freedom for some crazy reason I couldn't fathom. Back to the point, they're blaming the rich. Yes, all of them. Aren't they the 99 percent? No? And why are they blaming the rich? Because their misled (By Pseudo Intellectuals). It's not the millionaires and billionaires fault were in this mess. Its the governments. And the soceity I live in we blame the people who did it. We don't put the blame on somebody who didn't do it.

Explain to me how it's government's fault that CEO salaries are now 350 times the average worker's salary in this country (where it's more like 30 to 50x in most other capitalist nations).
 
The Right to Peaceable Assembly is a truly American Right. I applaud the right. I personally find their reason a bit misguided, but then I do consider the source. Let's see how long they remain peaceful.

What puts us in debt is over spending right? YES! The government is giving how much money they ask for so therefore its the governments fault if they overspend!
Anyways your saying the CEO's don't deserve the fruit of their risks? They risk money and run a business. Now do they work hard I'm pretty sure at one point in time they did. Now do I agree that they should have so much excess? No.
