Shakira to advise White House

You're not the sort of person I'm talking about. I'm talking about the sort of person who immediately concluded this was somehow an insult, a sign of incompetence, etc, without even bothering to check and see how well Shakira might be qualified for this sort of work. They assumed she was just some celebrity appointed for popularity reasons.

Apparently you didn't either read or understand my previous post. I didn't immediately conclude anything and think it may be a GOOD IDEA. What I deem qualified and what you deem qualified are two very different things.... and I made NO such assumption. Welcome to FAIL-ville Deuce.

This comes as no surprise at all. To have someone advise about educational issues for hispanics in the US is a good idea in general. Ofcourse the US would have someone like Shakira advise about this rather than some hispanic group who actually know what they are talking about and is passionate about it.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone stands ready to advise on the healthcare system as well. Amy Winehouse died, so ufortunately she cannot represent the medical and prescription industry. Mickey mouse is available to advise on popular culture and Britney Spears on high culture. Then add in the CEOs of American banks to advise on poverty, Roubini to speak about economy and people like Romney, Perry and Obama about politics.

Anyone seen "idiocracy"? (probably not, it was basically censored in the mainstream)
