Probe surrounding Wis. governor apparently growing

So Walker hasn't been convicted in the liberal mind? This is about double standards and that is what I am pointing out.

You mean the same double standard as you accusing Obama of wrongdoing in the Solyndra loan investigation while it is still being investigated? Yes, you are demonstrating that double standard very well.

Great idea. Its a twofer, population control and crime control.

Caught speeding or runnig a red light, officer just shoots the bastard. Shoplifting, cut off both hands before executing.

A bit over the top don't you think? Let's tone it down and at least find the person guilty first then let the punishment fit the crime, shall we?

I never said the loan didn't happen, but you and others on the right are jumping to conclusions that there was illegal or wrongdoing by Obama directly. It is still being investigated so yes, you are wrong for jumping to those conclusions.

I continue to point to the hypocrisy of liberals who have already convicted Walker while ignoring charges made against Obama. These are charges that have not been substantiated but that doesn't mean that Walker hasn't been convicted in the minds of liberals. We have issues like Solyndra and othere "Green" companies receiving taxpayer money that have declared bankruptcy and charges made that loans were fast tracked without good DD and in the case of Solyndra recommended that the loan not happen. So why is it charges against a Republican are valid before proven and those made against the Obama Administration not valid when already proven?

no, this thread is about scott walker. why won't you discuss him?

because the similarities are quite similar although liberals make charges against Conservatives that are guilty until proven innocent whereas charges against Obama are innocent until proven guilty even though hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars and probably over a billion have been wasted due to questionable transactions.

Can't win at the election box? Get the fed's involved. Of course, if he's guilty, toss him in the slammer, but me thinks there is more here then meets the eye.

Of course, so many here are ready to watch Gov Walker fall they've all ready tried and convicted him. Meanwhile the circles of scandal around Obama and Co. grow, yet many that post in this thread are amazingly absent from those...

Amazing isn't it, liberals lose elections and then try to overturn the results with Alinsky tactics. It really is a shame to see some very good people taken in by the liberal cult today and that is going to make things a lot worse in the future. Results in Wisconsin are turning around due to Walker's actions but good results in Wisconsin are ignored by people with an agenda. We are only hearing one side of the story, the side that the left wants out. As usual when the real results get out they will be ignored as the liberals will be off on some other topic.

Come, now, Conservative. Isn't it possible that there truly was corruption outside of Illinois politics? If we've seen nothing else over the years it's that politicians and big business generally make strange bedfellows.

Of course, it;s possible. But isn't just a little TOO convenient, Walker getting targeted by the Fed's like this?

I never said they were valid.

But it's kinda hard to take your comments about hypocrisy and double standards seriously when uou display that SAME hypocrisy when dealing with charges made against Obama.

You are right that it is wrong for people to jump to conclusions about Walker, but you are wrong in that you are doing the same thing with Obama. See my point?

Rather interesting how liberals are quick to point to perceived indescretions on the part of a Republican but ignore the proven allegations against Democrats. Solyndra is a disaster for Obama and the taxpayers and there are four other companies that Obama gave stimulus money to that have failed. then there is this

General Reported He Was Pressured On Testimony About White House-Backed Project, Sources Say | Fox News

The more we hear about this Administration the less we hear from the Obama supporters but they have no problem going after alleged allegations against a Republican?

If you're going to go that route I wonder if you felt as strongly about Haliberton and Blackwater during the GW Bush administration? Be careful that your partisanship doesn't blind you.

So Walker hasn't been convicted in the liberal mind? This is about double standards and that is what I am pointing out.

You make these very broad statements without any evidence that can be substantiated. Of course, how could you possibly provide evidence of what you allege goes on in "the liberal mind"? This is falling down the rabbit hole stuff and you just passed Alice.

ridiculous.......just ask anyone residing in milwaukee. walker is slimy. just listen to the "koch brother" audio.

On the surface of it, it doesn't seem as if Walker did anything wrong. But being that I am a public employee I do know that there are policies (at least in my state) that prohibits public employees from "campaigning" on government time. You have to wonder just what exactly were these employees doing that they'd walk away from such high paying jobs so abruptly especially in a down economy. Let's look at two important facets of these two employee's association with Gov. Walker.

Both worked with him Gov. Walker when he worked in local government at the county level per the OP article. One worked in state's contracting office. I do find it interesting that the article would mention that w/o being more specific. Maybe it was just one of those "gotcha" mental connection things...you know, mention that one of Walker's former employees suddenly resigned who just so happened to have worked in the department that monitored state contracts...providing that "corruption" angle. It could just be conincidence, but what if it were true? What if corruption with state contracts along with illegal campaigning were the problem?

Gotta let this investigation play out. Could be nothing, could be a major story of corrupt politics...

Let's wait and see how things shake out. The fact that these two former employees who use to work for Walker at lower levels of public service just happened to up and quit in and of itself is a red flag.

Interesting that Walker has been convicted before it has been proven whereas with Obama who is innocent until convicted. Inspite of Chicago politics on display Obama is given the benefit out doubt but not Walker. Explain why?

As stated, hasn't Walker already been convicted by Liberals? Where is that same outrage over Obama Administration officials that have resigned and charges of corruption?

You keep wrongly using this hyperbole that Walker has been convicted. Then you complain how unfair that is. This is utterly ridiculous.

Convicted in the minds of liberals or this wouldn't even be a thread topic, now would it?

The article didn't say Walker was guilty of anything. So, you can come off that rant. There have been several people who have have been critical of the President (or atleast his Administration) for being too quick to give federal funds to Solyndra when it was pretty obvious by some accounts that they were headed for financial difficulties rather quickly. To that, I can understand people being outraged about giving that company $500M in taxpayer money only to see them go belly-up. But you still have to prove corruption took place rather than the Administration receiving word too late to pull federal funding.

As with the Walker situation, you have to let the investigation play itself out there, too.

those are the posts of a politician who only earlier posted telling us how different - how honest and tactful - he is when compared to most politicians:
I want you to know that not all politicians are not scumbags. There are some of us who served the public with our

integrity tact.

It is easy to paint all politicians with the same broad brush, however there are some who take the position reluctantly but for the right reasons.

A few of us are able to ignore the shame that some bring upon themselves when they have lost their way.

I know a few politicians who have lived up to their "Oath of Office," I count myself among them.

ignore what an extremist republican says; instead monitor their actions. then, you will see the difference between the two

1 - so what?
2- instead of guessing, present your facts

What do you mean so what? I think it is relevant to understand whom is doing this. Since you don't want to know that says alot.

I'm a liberal and I think I've shown I'm very willing to give Walker the benefit of the doubt here. However, I think it fair to point out the obvious:

Two of Walker's former employees once worked with him at lower levels of government within his state.

Both employees suddenly resigned from high paying jobs.

At least one employee worked in a position where she had significant oversight of state contracts.

Both employees are accused of wrong-doing in state campaign matters concerning Gov. Walker.

On the surface, it smells of corruption. But sending emails in and of itself isn't a crime. However, just as with the Obama Administration, it is what's contained in those emails that may help to tell the story.

Okay ... .... like the Denzel Washington request in PHILADELPHIA to explain it to him like he is a four year old

1 - This is a news story
2 - this thread is about breaking news stories
3 - this is NOT a story about anybody being convicted of anything
4 - this is a story about an ongoing investigation
5 - you are the only one battling your own self created frankenstein monster of a convicted Walker

Why is this even a topic if liberals haven't already convicted Walker?

Because people like to talk about investigations of politicians. I mean did you really need to ask?

Scandals, sex, and wars are the biggest sensational items for all media. Does it really suprise you?

This was probably just poor reporting, but Archer, the most recently targeted, didn't resign. She is on medical leave. once her heath issues are over (whatever they are) she is going back to work in a different position.

Former Walker aide shaken, embarrassed following FBI raid, denies any wrongdoing

She followed him to Madison to serve as the Department of Administration's deputy secretary. She left that post last month and went on medical leave for a "private health reason." When she returns, Archer said, she will work for the Department of Children and Families.

the other guy that stepped down, had said that he intended to leave the job in September all along, and almost didn't take the job in the first place for that reason. I obviously have no idea if he was speaking the truth. but it's more then anyone else has.

here is your statement which led to my SO WHAT?

Who brought this investigation, and whom are they aligned with politically? My guess is that whom ever it is will be found to have ties to public sector unions.

Again - so what? Are you really trying to tell us that people of a certain political persuasion are barred and disqualified from any participation in the actual process simply because you worship before another ideological altar? Are you really trying to tell us that anyone who has these nameless, vague and unidentified "ties to public sector unions" has relinquished all their rights as citizens in that state? Because unless you are taking both of those positions, it is irrelevant and means nothing as to the actual events of this story.

SO WHAT is indeed the perfect response to your statement.
