Nevada IHOP shooter was 'gentle, kind man'

I could kill for some pancakes right now.

And yes, I know I'm a terrible person for saying that.

You are going to burn in hell.

Seriously, this is a terrible thing to happen. Let's try and keep the stupidity at a minimum please.

This same thing happened over and over when Giffords was shot. Do you feel the same about those who did it then?

and you deflecting this is every bit as bad.

Sigh, unfortunately we cant do much to stop this thread from exploding into a partisan debacle... maybe we could all agree not to allow that to happen?

:lamo

Anybody agree to not turn suddenly partisan? Here?

/sarcasm on

HAHAHAHAHA. I wish I could be jus like you as to make a partisan comment in the light of people dying.

/sarcasm off

Seriously go f**k yourself and I don't mind taking an infraction for that. What a piece of **** your are.

My condolences to the families.

That's because the Libbos haven't figured out how to get any political mileage out of this event...yet.

Kind of like blaming Palin when Gifford got shot.
/truth off
/your denial on

I'm sure your sentiments would make Maxine Waters and Jimmy Hoffa very proud that you're on their team.

The papers were going bonkers over the "assault rifle"

Moderator's Warning:
Enough! The **** stops now. Keep the partisan **** out of this thread.

Out of the woodwork they come. So what's the deal, some of you righties can't show an ounce of decency on this thread? And in the same sentence bitch about lefties? Shame on you.

People were murdered in cold blood and look at you.

Yes because the average American needs one of those to hunt and provide for his family. Sigh.

Seriously, I honestly don't get the outrage on the right for the disdain of weapons designed to kill so many people.

Was wondering when that was gonna happen.

that's as silly as saying i need a golf club to go fishing with.

no law will stop someone who is a kamikaze from having even real assault weapons. I like having the ability to counter such thugs with superior firepower.

See the riots in LA after the Rodney King verdict. One Korean grocer with an M4 or an "AK 47 look alike" can cause a serious hurting on a pack of rioting thugs. far more than one guy with a revolver or a single shot rifle.

Being able to kill lots of people can be evil or useful. that is why every police department which is made up of CIVILIANS WHO HAVE NO GREATER RIGHT TO KILL THAN I DO, issue such weapons-often REAL assault rifles with the "giggle switch" on them

That was a little different, given that Giffords is/was a politician. Sorta suggests the possibility of a poltiical motive.

So would you say because National Gaurd officers are dead here it was anti-military or could it be wrong place wrong time?

Impossible to say at this point.

Yup, got our first denial. My denial command is working.

But, not when Giffords was capped...oh no, it was quite obvious...then.

Of course that was different. Giffords is a politician who was shot at a political event. This is a case where some national guard troops were shot in a restaurant. No way of knowing if they were targeted or just in the wrong place at the wrong time. We could draw better conclusions the shooting had occurred at a guard event or facility.

If the rifle was a full auto weapon, (which I think has not yet been established but some early reports suggest it was), those are already heavily regulated and he probably did not possess it legally.

Personally I think making this incident about gun control is just as bad as making it partisan. **** like this happens because of murderous nutjobs, and there's probably no way to stop an occasional event like this... but thankfully they're pretty rare among a 300 million-plus population. What are your odds of being present (let alone shot) when something like this happens, ever in your life? Probably millions to one against. What are your odds of dying in a car crash? Around 100 to 1.

I recall a case in Atlanta where a businessman killed his wife and three co-workers with a hammer. A hammer, and he killed nearly as many as this guy with an AK.

Murderous nutcases slip through the cracks sometimes. Blaming that on the Left, the Right, or guns, or Obama, or Bush, or hammers, is not a solution.

Two Army officers were assassinated in this shooting. I'm not seeing a difference, except for the lack of political mileage here vs. the Giffords shooting.

Really? You can see the difference? In the first case the shooter specifically went to a political rally to target a politician. In the second case the shooter went to a public restaurant and shot two guardsmen. We don't know if they were targeted because they were guardsmen or whether they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

A, "politician"; the bodies weren't even cold, before the Libbos were claiming that Laughner was influenced by talk radio, or Ann Coulter, or something.

The Libbos weren't nearly as objective then, as they are now. Why is that?

Because it was clear that the target of the attack was a Democratic politician, whereas in this case there is no indication of a motive. It's not that complicated.

More like, it would be almost impossible to blame the execution of two Army officers on a Right Wing nut job.

It's not that complicated.

The one thing you've gotten right, since you've been here.

Not at all. I could certainly do that, if it was indicated. I mean the guy did have a "support our troops" sticker on his car. But again, there is no evidence that he targeted the guardsmen. There's no indication that he even knew they were in the iHop. The first person he shot was a bicyclist in the parking lot.
