Hoffa Threatens GOP At Obama Event: "Take These Son Of Bitches Out"

Except we are not talking about the faults of conservatives over the past decade in this thread. What we are talking about is liberal/union thuggery, and your insistence that every time libs slip up and reveal who they really are, must be blamed on repubs, or at the very least excused with the all famous 'see, they do it too'....

pfft...get real please.

j-mac
Famous indeed. I know exactly what conservatives would like to confine discussion in this thread to. Thankfully, I don't have to play by your rules. I interpret "get real" to mean get in touch with reality, and I encourage you to do the same by taking a step back and rereading the original post for what it is, which is "see, liberals do it too" post. We will never see civility until both parties take accountability. I already said Hoffa is an embarrassment. I have yet to see any conservative disclaim the remarks of their own. End of story.

Ah, its sweeping generalization time.

Please elaborate on this statement J-Mac.

What would you like to know? Should we start with Obama's campaign of '08 and the 'spread the wealth around' remarks of our current dear leader, or maybe Maxine Waters telling the head of an oil company that she is about 'socializing,....er, um....taking....um over your business....' You pick.

Seriously dude, turn off the Conservapedia tab.

When another Kenneth Gladney gets stomped by union thugs, will you then denounce this "call to battle" language crap? Or will you find a way to blame the victim of union thuggery?

j-mac
Two charged in scuffle at St. Louis County meeting found not guilty
He never got stomped by union thugs. The best you can say is that he got pushed down, where as one SEIU member dislocated his shoulder. From the video it's not obvious at all who started it and it can be attributed to people being too riled up on both sides. The two union guys were found not guilty. Come back to reality and join us J-Mac.

Wow, how sad. I guess assault is fine now if you have a good enough lawyer, and do community service in a plea deal to lessen the charges.

I think you're missing the whole not guilty thing J-Mac. They weren't convicted of lesser charges. They were found not guilty on all charges because the guy that you are holding up as some huge victim of union thuggery is a liar. Quite a poor liar btw. Just because your desperate for anything to blame on unions doesn't mean you can parade around this liar and expect everyone not to laugh at you after watching the video of what actually happened (as opposed to this guys multiple stories of how it happened)

Actually, I did not have a problem with Sarah Palin's "Don't retreat, reload" rhetorical jab. What I DID have a problem with, however, were the "simulated" crosshairs over the geographic locations of Democrat congressional or district offices and would have had a problem with it no matter which side of the political divide the image was placed over. Nonetheless, doing such on the backdrop of her comment could easily have been taken out of context by some gun totting idiot such as the shooter behind Congresswoman Gifford's near fatal attack. Now, notice I did not say his actions were directly attributed to Palin's comment nor the crosshairs images as motivation behind his shooting rampage. But it could have easily been taken that way either by some mad man (or woman) or someone out looking for a little payback against a liberal politician. You just have to be careful about what you say and do. That said, context does mean alot!

Did you have a problem with this one ??

I think you have this 100% backwards...Hoffa can say what ever he wants, its a free country, for the moment. However, don't you even try and say that his rhetoric wouldn't be called out by every liberal if said by say a Palin, or Angle, or any republican.

Hoffa is the leader of the teamers union so I repeat it for you again he has not just the right but a duty to talk to and try to get his members to the voting booth. As far as the rest of your he said/she said bull who cares

Oh please lay out that plan would you?

First all you have to do is follow the money path this is not rocket science 93% of this nations wealth is now controlled by 20 percent of the nations people, how do the rich get rich while the middle class and poor get poorer

The DaRkersidE: America

The Federal Reserve creates inflation with only one purpose: to transfer the accumulated wealth of ordinary Americans to the top one percent of the income distribution. The Federal Reserve accomplishes its class warfare agenda through the mechanism of inflation, a stealth tax if there ever was one and of course the basis of the borrow and spend doctrine of the Republican Party which is actually the source of the fiscal crisis they create, through endless wars. The class warfare agenda is very clear: cut taxes on the rich while raising the stealth tax of inflation on everyone else. The rich are smart enough to understand this game and front-run the Fed by buying commodities, and gold to profit from Fed inflation. Everyone one else gets socked with higher food and energy costs that lowers their standard of living.

Repubs fight new regs that would make speculation illegal or not profitable enough to invest in. Oil prices and other life essential needs are held off the market creating a supply problem driving up the prices on oil and any thing involved in the use of oil from gasoline to groceries the rich get rich at the expence of those fill thier pockets.

The repubs then cry to cut benefits from things like medicare, medicad, education and just about any program that aids the middle class and poor. They attack SS calling it a ponzi scheme hoping to effect changes in the way Americans save thier money from SS to private savings accounts invested in wall street. You know I see all of these millionare and billionaire Brokers and hedge fund managers where and how do they make money, If a person playing the market makes millions that money is coming from some where, where?

Not for private unions, I haven't seen one governmental attack at any state level by a republican bent on going after private union bargaining. The states like WI, and NJ that were asking public sector unions to adjust their pension systems, was distorted, and blown out of proportion by lib, union hacks as usual.

Spoken like a real conservative, unions fighting for thier right for collective bargaining are nothing but whiners is that what you are trying to sell?

When another Kenneth Gladney gets stomped by union thugs, will you then denounce this "call to battle" language crap? Or will you find a way to blame the victim of union thuggery?

I think in your haste to point your finger you forgot that people are innocent to proven guilty, these "union thugs" were found not quilty

Well, when one of these jack asses starts to get physical, Hoffa, and any other dumb ass that uses inciting language should be arrested and charged. There are laws, even for liberals.

First all you have to do is follow the money path this is not rocket science 93% of this nations wealth is now controlled by 20 percent of the nations people, how do the rich get rich while the middle class and poor get poorer

So, your aim is not to raise all boats, rather sink the wealthy ones, and redistribute their wealth. Thanks for revealing your self.

You do realize that speculation markets in a free enterprise system are how some businesses forecast their business expenses right? It's called a business plan. I guess some like you that don't truly understand how business works just need a boogeyman to attack.

The repubs then cry to cut benefits from things like medicare, medicad, education and just about any program that aids the middle class and poor.

Stopping a baseline increase every year is not a cut.

They attack SS calling it a ponzi scheme hoping to effect changes in the way Americans save thier money from SS to private savings accounts invested in wall street.

In the sense of the definition other than the legality of SS, it is exactly a ponzi scheme. And those investement accounts you are railing against, you mean like 401K's and alike? Should people pull out of those as well? Listen, Wall St. over the long term, even with adjusted up's and down's, through things like 401K's return about 8%. What does SS return?

You know I see all of these millionare and billionaire Brokers and hedge fund managers where and how do they make money, If a person playing the market makes millions that money is coming from some where, where?

Jealousy is ugly....

Congratulations, this post is the epitome of true Socialist, Union hack on display. We know what you are selling, and no one wants it.

Your right lets start at the town hall meetings where tea baggers shouted down speakers in an attempt to intimidate people who wanted to ask questions and get truthful answers not the BS that they receive in chain mails,Define inciteful language does that mean if I call you a jack ass is that inciteful? If I call you a moron is that inciteful? If I call you a parasite is that inciteful? When republicans supported the idea that President Obama was not an illegible to run for president was that inciteful. When lies are circulated and repeated over and over an attempt to legitimize them is that inciteful? Get ready I think you are going to see a lot more of union leeaders inciting thier members to get out and vote

So, your aim is not to raise all boats, rather sink the wealthy ones, and redistribute their wealth. Thanks for revealing your self.

My intention is to support regulations that limit the financial impact that speculating has on life essential needs, if a broker wants to speculate on coffee or tea have at it, speculating on oil, grain, and other life essential needs should not just be regulated it should be banned, but go ahead look at your bank account and know that a good % of it comes from the middle class, the poor, and the elderly. Speculators and those who support them are nothing more in my opinion then blood suckers and thieves

You do realize that speculation markets in a free enterprise system are how some businesses forecast their business expenses right? It's called a business plan. I guess some like you that don't truly understand how business works just need a boogeyman to attack.

I under stand how business works and I am sure it will survive without speculators driving up the price of life essential needs, taking the food away from the poor and elderly, making a person chose between heat and medical needs in order to inflate the size of some bum's bank account who adds no value to a product

Stopping a baseline increase every year is not a cut.

So as the cost of living increases because of market manipulation you find it okay to deny cost of living increases to grand ma and grand pa, to the poor, naturally you do because you are okay with the transfer of wealth and actually blame lazy americans for it when in fact those on wall street only manipulate the markets, truth being they have no value truth being they are the parasites that feed on the weakess members of our nation

People should not be lied to about SS if you want to invest in 401's go ahead who gives a good sh-t. SS is the best thing that ever happened to millions of our hard working citizens

Jealousy is ugly....

So is greed that steals the food out of the mouth of the needy, so is greed that makes it so the poor and elderly have to choose between eating, meds and heating thier homes.

Congratulations, this post is the epitome of true Socialist, Union hack on display. We know what you are selling, and no one wants it.

Thank you I find being criticised by you means I am on the right path, thinking about how what I say and support helps those less fortunate then I am. America is not about 20% of the population it is about 100% of the population. I find people who use thier wealth to drain the life blood out of our economy to be the real parasites

No one said the Justice system is perfect.

The justice system should work for every one not just those who can afford it

Calling a group of citizens that decided to become involved in their government a name like you did is an incitement (sorry, but there's no such word as "inciteful"). Any more questions ??

The rest of your rant is right out of today's left wing talking points with little basis in fact.

Speculators serve a very useful purpose in that they pay for things in advance, or promise to, which allows the owner of the commodity to plan ahead in order to get his or her product to market. It doesn't matter whether that product is cheese, oil, fish or tobacco. They cannot buy anything that someone is not willing to sell.

It shouldn't even be necessary to point this out but speculators can also lose money, and history is riddled with thousands, no millions, of examples. If you think that speculation is a sure way to make your fortune, you can get into it with just a phone call and a few hundred dollars. Good luck.

That would be ignoring all those auto makers who moved to the United States, but not to Michigan. These include Honda, Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Nissan, and several others.

I think we might even see a move where Boeing is forced to move out of the United States, thanks to the Unions.

I think people who continue to blame unions for Detroit's demise need to consider the other factors that also contributed to the city's demise. There's more to the demise of this once great than just the union workers story., i.e., the state's tax code, inferior cars compared to their foreign counterparts and the decline in manufacturing overall in this country. All contributed to the city's decay.

Detroit use to be a leading industrial city - the auto capital of the world! But once so many manufacturing jobs left first for overseas markets and then later to other states (Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama) due to being "right-to-work" states and offering very generous tax reduction packages, it was very difficult for Detroit to compete.

While I do place some of the blame on the UAW (i.e., generous severance packages to retirees), it's not all their fault. For example, if a city or metro area is dominated by only one industry how does the city revive itself once that singular industry begins to dry up? The same thing happened to other cities across the country when the steel industry started having problems and cars began to be built using fiberglass and construction companies started using cheaper building materials other than steel.

There's more to Detroit's story than just Unions, folks. You just have to take the partisan blinders off long enough to be willing to learn "the rest of the city's story".

The group of citizens that you decided to defend are nothing more then hench/men women working for the Koch Brothers, The original tea party would be insulted to have this bunch using thier name.

Thank you for the spelling lesson

Certainly the cars were inferior. Corners had to be cut in order to pay the extortionist union rates and their inflated pensions. The Unions killed Detroit, but will never accept the responsibility. They are the worst big business in the country and have no social conscience whatsoever.

Unions are not interested in competing. They are only interested in maintaining a monopoly, where neither the consumer or non union members are of much interest.

And weren't the steel mills unionized?

I'll wager auto workers in other cities around the world aren't doing this.

Farmers can get paid in advance for their crops which allows them to plant with the knowledge that a profit will be made. Remove the Futures market and you'll get a real food crisis, something the American of today have yet to experience. Not understanding basic economics and over-regulating businesses, is destroying the US economy. Knowledge that was once assumed by everyone has now become esoteric.

Do you have any proof that these aren't Rightists there to misrepresent what the group stands for? I don't recall seeing any union cards in the video.

Are you denying these are union members?

Are you denying these are union members?

Are you denying that people carrying stupid signs are Tea Partiers?

How do we know? If leftists are infiltrating the Tea Party to make them look bad, maybe rightists are drinking and smoking pot on camera and saying they're union.

Even with the first part you have in bold it still sounds like a call to violence considering who Hoffa is and what the history is of his family and movement.

Fail.

I would say, the war rhetoric is at least as bad as Sarah Palin's cross hairs. That is, it is much ado about nothing.

The 'workers' were identified and and subsequently fired.

There has been no history of 'rightists' impersonating Union members, but of course the Left has a history of pretending they are Tea Party members.

If you and other Americans are okay with that sort of language then it will only get worse. Otherwise it should be condemned as it happens.
