Harry Markopolos, an independent financial fraud investigator and the subject of a film, Chasing Madoff, which opened Friday, told CNBC Wednesday, "State Street and Bank of New York each stole billions of dollars from pension funds around the country, three-tenths of one percent off every transaction," he said.

The pigs at the trough STEALING FROM THE WORKING CLASS....not surprising theyve always done it.

Now now, no need to resort to class warfare here. If these "working class" people had the motivation and work ethic they'd be in a position to steal billions of dollars from the poor themselves. Can't blame anyone but themselves.

If you use the phrase "working class", you're a communist. That goes for anyone. socialists and communists speaking in those terms. No sane American would talk like that.

silly whistleblowers; all banks need is more deregulation. that's how we'll all achieve prosperity.

lol

RUSH: Steve Wynn, Wynn Resorts, Las Vegas. He is right on the money. "People who are paying the price for this juggernaut of federal spending are the middle class and the working class of America," i.e., these poor people in Detroit. They are in those lines because they have no choice because that's where this administration wants them. "Soaring rhetoric, great speeches with or without a teleprompter isn't going to change the truth." So Jennifer Granholm has gotta get in on this. Wallace says, "Let me bring in the governor of Michigan, Jennifer Granholm. Looks like she wants to come out of her seat at this."

Rush Limbaugh.

edit:

For what? For what? It certainly can't... Do you realize, folks, it is... I don't know what the word is! But to sit here and not be outraged over the economic plight of the working class and poor people in this country, to go out and be playing basketball with your staff and then go play golf after you try another church on Sunday,

Later in the same transcript.

The steal billions from pensions....so do Govs like Chris Christie...then they blame the workers and whine the pension is broke....

The rich and wallstreet HATE private and public pensions...they cant get their grubby hands on it as readily as they can ROB and manipulate 401k money.
The rich want everyone in a 401k so they can take it up and down at will and use that money to make more money for themselves.

How would you like to be 65-70 have worked all your life and want to now retire, but you were forced into a 401k thats worth squat now..so you cant retire.

Which is why many are taking responsibility for their own retirement, investing and planning for SS and pensions to NOT be there and still be okay. I still might not be able to retire, but at least I know I've done everything possible to have it occur. The alternative is to continue to make the mistakes of the others who have come before and assuming that politicians will change, that people will change, that government will change. The only thing we can change is ourselves and control what WE do.

Your post has absolutely nothing to do with the thread

If the banks can steal from pension funds they can steal from your savings as well.

It has to do with your post. Those who have enough smarts plan for their own, those who are suck holes on the system - don't. Putting all the eggs in one basket in a pension fund - especially one in the public sector is stupidity personified.

Diversify and they'd have to steal from hundreds or thousands. If that happens, we're all screwed anyway and we'll all keep each other company.
