Earthquake On US East Coast

LOL - the monument is racist?

:rofl
Cue Brother Clayton Bigsby
"In an effort to bring his message to a wider office he agreed to give his first interview ever to Frontline . . . "
:rofl

It IS a giant white dick...

I was walking up the back steps into my office when it hit. Didn't feel it at all, though everyone in the waiting room did.

I was in an earthquake in Cincinnati back in 1980. They can be quit disconcerting to say the least.

Didn't notice anything in upstate SC. I was on the road at the time, I think... my son says he felt it as a slight vibration while he was in class.

I have friends who were doing experiments in a lab when it happened. ****ed everything up lol.

Can you imagine if you were already having one of those days where everything you touch turns to crap? You're at your breaking point and you're in the middle of some delicate task, minutes from completion. Then *shake shake shake* and it all comes crumbling down.

You mean, like these champaign glasses pyramids?

Felt a little something here, SC, and didn't think much of it until I got on CNN. Next thing to do was call the girlfriend in DC.

I Live in Midtown Manhattan/On the East River... but was at the Beach (Jones) at the time. Felt Nothing.
Perhaps it was the sand or I was in the Ocean, but nothing.
It was widely reported in the county (Nassau).

When I returned late this afternoon I asked the Garage guys - they Felt Nothing.
The Doormen told me people in the two towers I live in Felt it, especially higher up.

Locally it was felt in throughout NY, NJ, CT.
Many Office buildings were temp emptied.

And reports put people noting it from Atlanta, to Toronto, to the Prez at Martha's Vineyard. The Vineyard about 500 Miles NNE of the Epicenter.
Really an Incredibly large area for a 5.9 quake.

Conservatives are taking to call this "Obamaquake."

They've introduced the "Obama Sucks So Hard He Makes The Earth Shake and Destroys Jobs and Kills Babies" resolution to memmorialize it.
