Rep. Maxine Waters says "Tea Party can go straight to hell"

Not at all Joe, if you have something that proves out your claim that the clip is somehow out of context, then by all means provide it, and I am open to re examining my stance, but as it stands, and in general terms, Waters provided in insight into her adherence in Marxist doctrine. If you should continue on this absurd line of dismissing the clear meaning behind her words as though something that precedes, or follows a statement of "Socializing...er...um...taking over your industry...." would be anything other than hollow words meant to cover up her slip is laughable....So by all means Joe, provide the context you think does this, or admit you just lost this round.

J, you don't have anything. 20 seconds. Period. Do you really believe that is all it takes to understand something? Hell, we can stop all meetings, all classes, as nothing needs more than 20 seconds.

What was the debate about? Do you know? Any idea what she was really trying to say? Have you asked yourself that question? Do you ever question any of this that doesn't involve a republican?

No j, losing and winning is decided by self declarations. You first need to understand what is being said.

So you have nothing that proves out your own claim then...the hearing if I am not mistaken was a little show about oil pricing, and price at the pumps designed to blame the high prices on the favorite whipping boy of demo's, the oil industry. Waters didn't like what the oil exec had to say and launched into her rant that revealed her true intent. You can dismiss it all you want Joe, as only 20 seconds, however I don't see you posting anything further to back your claim, so you have nothing.

I can't find it on the web now, but I'm sure I've heard her advocate nationalizing the oil industry before, maybe two or three years ago. This is nothing new for her.

Waters is not the Democratic Party, however. She is one congresswoman who is advocating a socialist idea.

Lord, I do wish when people labeled they knew what the words they use mean. :coffeepap

Oh so smug one, please tell us that what Waters said is not the textbook definition of Socialism.....Please try and make that case....

Can't argue with the Kool-aid drinkers. I guess he didn't hear the words "taking over" come from self-proclaimed "liberal" Maxine Waters' lips just after she said "socialize", or just can't comprehend what they mean in context when used together.

Are you smarter than a 5th grader? I guess not...

This assumes that someone struggling for language and dealing with anger in a heated off the cuff exchnage always says exactly what they mean. it is silliness to believe such. So, provide evidence she has proposed actually doing anything of the kind, or have your drank too much kool-aid? :coffeepap

Myabe she has, and maybe she hasn't. I really don't know. Not my congress critter. I only argue you can't reach that conclusion based on this statement and in this context. For the record, her spokesperson after words denied that as meaning. We're no obligation to believe her, but we shouldn't dismiss the claim either without any evidence to the contrary.

So if she didn't say what she means she's a liar, right? Or maybe she just misspoke? Misspeaking would have been if she had said she was a conservative.

Your evidence is in the video. You heard what I heard. When's one is angry is exactly when the truth comes out.

It's not up to me to prove she did or didn't act on something she said. You disprove it, or maybe you would like to retract the statement now.

I restated what she said and you responded acrimoniously in her defense. That's kind of interesting though, you trying to get others to believe her words mean something other than what she said.

I'm sure she would appreciate your consolation though, you both being self-proclaimed liberals.

No. Shes a person who is upset and struggling. We all say stupid **** sometimes. Again, prove she has proposed a government take over, that she is working to create government control of production. This would mean something. Can you do it?

So it seems that this was a case of kicking your dog after coming home from a bad day at work. Waters knew her complaints originate from the White House but she wasn't able to bring herself to direct them there so she picked a convienent scapegoat to blame them on.

"We’re supportive of the president, but we getting tired, y’all,” Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said in August. “We want to give [Obama] every opportunity, but our people are hurting. The unemployment is unconscionable. We don’t know what the strategy is."

Rather than targeting Obama’s leadership, many CBC members aimed their fire at the Tea Party movement over the summer’s congressional recess. Waters said in a public meeting in her district that the Tea Party "can go straight to hell." Another member, Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla.), called the Tea Party “the real enemy” seeking to hold Congress “hostage.”

Cleaver: If Obama wasn't president, we would be

Cleaver acknowledged that some of the things members of his caucus say might not be in the best interests of the “aggressive agenda” he said he is seeking to develop as chairman.

“Maxine Waters represents central Los Angeles first and she has to represent her constituents first and she's going to say things in order to represent them,” he said.

Waters also said they're getting tired of Obama regarding unemployment.

Well, here we have it...The more civil tone....When Gov. Perry says something that liberals don't like the call is all about civility, yet Maxine Waters, the socialist can say whatever she wants.....Pure Allensky.

I backed the "Tea Party" up to the point they chose the GOP umbrella to run under. As far as I am concerned the "Tea Party" is nothing more than defected Republicans that do not know who or what they are?

Give me a break. Waters is worthless and is not worthy of our attention.

Without the voted of illegal aliens she would never be heard of.

If it were not for the illegal votes of illegal aliens she would be on welfare, beause she is just another dumb ass.

The Tea Party consists of different races, creeds and party affiliations. The Tea Party does not consist of Republicans ONLY. Sorry...Your statement is 100% wrong.

Having known quite a few illegal aliens up close and personal, I can tell you that very few of them vote. They stay in the shadows, and don't do anything to try to call attention to themselves. Voting in a US election is the last thing they want to do.

No, this wacky lady was elected by citizens who live both in her district and in fantasy land.
