Black caucus: Tired of making excuses for Obama

I prefer things in the open as well... and i think all aspects of government should Openly separate from the idea of race.

note that i said it should, but i dont think there is anyway to force such groups as the Black caucus or a White caucus to exist or not. But i don't respect such a thing and i consider it racist.

If you advocate the "openness" of it, then you do recognize that labeling something as Black Caucus is openly racist? the double standard is wrong whether it is a minority or majority.

Racist? No. When an oppressed group syas we can combat the oppression better as a group, try to help overome the deficit slavery and prejudice put us behind, that is not racism, but pragmatic tackling of a problem.

It's not offensive, unless you find the idea of minorities feeling they need to advance their rights more and better achieve equality as somehow offensive to you.

how dare those black folks try to overcome centuries of oppression!!

;)

there's no problem with you trying to overcome it...just stop using it as an excuse

black people were never oppressed in the USA?

this is called historical revisionism.

Can you even read? I am talking about those black people that get bitchy about slavery from 200 years ago.

how does the fact that your great, great, great, great, great grandfather was a slave in any way oppress you today, nearly 200 years later?

oh, i totally agree with that. history of oppression should not be used by blacks, Jews, etc etc...do justify and excuse poor perforance and failure to motivate one's self.

slavery ended how many years ago?

segregation ended how many years ago?

wow. talk about ignoring history.

nice dodge. tell me again, how many years were you a slave?

I'm not black.

and are you suggesting that Segregation was not a form of oppression?

my goodness, the denial of history is strong.

..and btw, I am not the topic of this thread.

Things do not change quickly. Legally, this all ended less than 80 years ago. Very real and damaging racism hasn't completely ended yet. While we do continue to improve, a good thing, the belief that all is completely well is not only misguided, but kind of silly in a pragmatic world.

You silly twits. This has nothing to do with slavery. This aint no race war. The source and or origins of the Congressional Black Caucus are irrelevant. The simple fact is that even THEY believe Obama has been useless and even THEY recognize his supporters are mindless little puppets who support him based on skin color.

why don't you try arguing against a point I actually made for a change, instead of just making stuff up?

haven't you heard? slavery ended 160 years ago. therefore, all has been well & equal since then.

;)

black oppression did not end with the Emancipation Proclamation.

such a view is historical revisionism and pathetic.

How old are you? Can you tell me how you managed to live that long?

If you goal is to end racism all I have to say is unicorns are myth. Stop looking for one.

While they do exist in the minority, the notion that Obama supporters as a whole support him based on race is just as silly as the idea that his opponents oppose him based on his race.
