US military to launch fastest-ever plane

The sound barrier's already been broken, so this is a bore. When the US breaks the light barrier, then I'll be interested.

Shouldn't have installed that Japanese tracking system. LOL

Where'd it go?

into the Pacific.

Gee, wonder how much this blunder coast?

Even the Wright brothers crashed a couple times before they were finally able to fly for the first time in 1903. Does that make all their previous attempts blunders?

To answer your question though, the entire program is something like $320 million.

There's something amusing about a super-fast plane disappearing super-fast.

I can't wait until we develop a vehicle with active camoflauge and then have trouble finding it after testing.

Ooohhh...what if the Chinese hacked the comm link and flew the aircraft to their country?

We'd send Clint Eastwood, and he'd fly it back.

More like "fat ass", considering the plane will be yet another deficit-funded toy w/no practical value.

Who pissed in your cornflakes?

LOL...Nice! But does he know Mandarin? I know he knows Russian...but Mandarin is a hard language to learn.

Not a problem, he learned it back in 'Nam. And he can outfly the Chinese prototype. We're gold.

Wait, you mean the mighty Chinese didn't do this? You mean it's the USA (that is finished for all eternity)? It just can't be from all I've heard.

Who said the US was finished for all eternity?
