Program won't cover 9/11 responders for cancer

And there's no evidence that the VA only treats combat-related illnesses.

Another appeal to emotion. I thought you were opposed to those.

IOKIYAR

I'm sorry but this is not about the VA.
Again, you do not know what an appeal to emotion is.
Your merely attempting to detract from my position using character assassination.

Mr V, are you going to address my statement?

You don't think government should help these people, so are you willing to step in and help... and push the government out of the way?

I'm sorry, but I'll make whatever point I want to make.

Again, you don't know what an appeal to emotion is

You're just unable to rebut my points, so you are passively-aggresively trying to shut me up. You should know that won't work

What authority am I using?
I'm merely pointing out that there is no clear evidence that the potential exposure could have caused them harm.

It's merely conjecture.

Yes, there is evidence that the potential exposure could have caused the harm. Your post is fiction

Appeal to emotion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Now show me where it is.

Yes, there is evidence that the potential exposure could have caused the harm. Your post is fiction

In your own post you admit that it "could," but can not verify that it "is."
"Could" is potential, "is" is verifiable.

Appeal to nature - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Your entire political philosophy is a logical fallacy

In your own post you admit that it "could," but can not verify that it "is."
"Could" is potential, "is" is verifiable.

In your own post, you said said "could" and said nothing about "is"

I'm merely pointing out that there is no clear evidence that the potential exposure could have caused them harm.

I think they've earned the right to healthcare. I don't care if it wasn't from what they did on 9/11, their heroism on that day was extraordinary, and the country owes them dignity, and respect. They should not have to wither, and die, from a lack of healthcare.

Did I say that?
No.

What I said is that there is no evidence that the cancers present in some people are directly related to the carcinogens that they were potentially exposed to during and after the WTC attacks.

1st off, not all of them were exposed to a hazardous level of carcinogens, 2nd exposure to carcinogens does not automatically mean you will develop a cancer related to the exposure, 3rd cancer can develop regardless of whether or not they were exposed to those carcinogens.

Knowing all that, how can any of you conclusively say that their cancers were a direct result of and should paid for because of the WTC attacks.
Answer, none.

You're just caught up in the emotionalism.

Veteran's have been hearing that same lame ass argument about Agent Orange and Gulf War Syndrome and PTSD.

Harry, EPA Administrator Whitman was determined by a federal judge to have lied about the air quality following 9/11. "By these actions," Judge [Deborah] Batts wrote, Mrs. Whitman "increased, and may have in fact created, the danger" to people living and working near the trade center.

So later we find that Christie Whitman, playing the role of GOP political prostitute, lies to the nation and the people of New York on behalf of the George W. Bush Administration and assures the people of Manhattan and the 9/11 workers that the air is safe AND YOU HARRY SAY "**** THOSE PEOPLE FOR EXPECTING ANYTHING FROM THE GOVERNMENT THAT LIED TO THEM". Beautiful, just beautiful.

Amen! Amen!

Always protecting the bottomline and not the people sent into harms way. This is what is so infuriating (emotional response).

They are already compensated partially (they do earn wages and retirement benefits as well) with medical care.

Potential carcinogens from WTC fallout ≠ Agent Orange, GWS or PSTD
They are not equivocal.

Besides the point that they already have medical coverage.

Now it's time for them to be fully compensated. Anything less is theft, which you claim to oppose

Libertarians like you are only opposed to some frauds

And if they don't, or it is not enough to cover their health care bills, the government should foot the rest of the bill.
