PFC Naser Jason Abdo was arrested in Killeen Tx outside Ft Hood today. He was AWOL from Ft Campbell KY where he was up on chargers for possesing child pornography. When police went to his hotel room they found bomb making material and a back pack with jinadi propaganda in it.

Another misunderstander of Islam? Or was he doing his part to serve allah in the grand jihad?

Watching pornography of any kind is a big sin in Islam by consensus of all scholars (I've yet to hear a different opinion on this), in fact even hearing the description of someone who is naked is considered haram.

I think you were right, he misunderstands his religion.

Interesting. OBL had a stash of porn in his Pakistan hide-out.
 
I don't think Ft. Hood is going to stand idly by and let another crazy douche cause harm. He's lucky he got arrested before he got on base and tried anything stupid.

Crunched? Because it's a convenient fiction, or there's no proof it was there, or that even if it was, it was his and not his son's? Why crunched?

What's the point in arguing why the porn was at OBL's hide-out? Does it really matter?
 
This jihadist went to South Garland High school here in Texas. My Daughters went to Garland High. The local news reported that his father was arrested for attempting to pick up a little girl off the street several years ago. Neighborhood kids said Naser Abdo was reclusive. Almost never came out of the house. he was interviewed by CNN some time ago as a conscientious objector. They made him out to be some kind of a peace lovingl hero. Guess Cnn is have crow for supper tonight. This guy enlisted in the Army at a time when we are at war in Afghanistan then when his unit is to deploy he claims he can't go do to his religious beliefs. You know the usual peaceful loving beliefs most members of the religion of peace adhere to. Then he goes AWOL and is caught getting ready to murder his fellow soldiers. Seems as if there are lot of muslims who misunderstand Islam. Or maybe it is we infidels who misundertand. Maybe we prefer to bury our heads in the sands along the banks of denile.

From a report I read today he wasnt actually trying to get onto the base but rather planned to blow up a public resteraunt frequnted by base personel.

Maybe because religion wasn't his prime motivator? Could it be that there were underlying causes not wholly related to Islam?

I wonder why then did he purchase a ft hood unit insignia from an army surplus store in Killeen and sew them on his uniform. Sounds to me like he was going to attempt to enter the post.

I agree a lot of Muslims misunderstand their religion, the Sharia punishment for rape is death. But misunderstanding one's religion is not something exclusive to Muslims, for instance most Americans support gay marriage when their God is more of kill them then torture them forever kinda guy.
 
Well, he was in big trouble with the military. I'm sure that helped him decide to turn terrorist, rather conveniently.
