His observation is completely unfounded and baseless. He, like a few people here, is basing his views off of speculation and not fact. The only thing you know is that the camps were politically based. To compare them to Hitler youth is absurd.

So with politics it's "brainwashing and indoctrination", but brainwashing and indoctrination as it relates to religion is "morals and ethics". So you would have no problem with an extremist Muslim camp for kids huh?

No. The way they try to brainwash their followers makes them freaks in my eyes. Watch the movie Jesus Camp for a good example of this.

Do they? It's their religion. So why is it not Morals and Ethics with them, but is so with other religion? Or is it that you really mean YOUR "morals and ethics"?

And where do morals and ethics come from? Can you say with a convincing argument, that they are innately human characteristics? What other species on Earth posses morals, and ethics? We can take this one to the philosophy section if you desire, but to say first, what is moral, and what is ethical, is in itself a suspicious assertion. One worthy of greater, and deeper thinking..

Not religious people, but those with obviously biased opinions which change when it's their own up on the chopping block. And it's not hate as much as it is annoyance.

You mean that you have no problem with indoctrinating kids with CHRISTIAN morals and ethics like believing in the CHRISTIAN god, homosexuality is a sin.

Funny how conservatives believe their morals are ok to brainwash kids with.

Why is it absurd? Have you been to europe lately? I have, it ain't nowhere near what it was when I grew up in the England in the late and early 70's, and 80's.. It's completely different now. My biggest observation is that there is no confidence among the people anymore. There is no pride.. People have become indifferent about almost anything, generally speaking. even as bad as the US is getting, it's miles above most Eurpoean nations in terms of these two powerful nationalistic abservations.,

Oh, they're more than free to do it. But I am more than free to point out the indocrination. When they have kids nearly worshipping a cardboard cut out of George Bush then maybe we can go ahead and admit not so much "morals and ethics" as much brainwashing and indoctrination. All under the guise of religious freedom, and a freedom I am more than willing to defend. But I shall also point out the hypocrisy and occassionally laugh when they're trying to pray that Satan doesn't affect the sound system.

No, I don't have a problem with teaching kids Christian values. They also teach that stealing and killing are wrong, along with adultry and lieing and irrelevant stuff like that.

Who needs to learn all that. Right?
