His son is definitely handsome, and hopefully he doesn't go down the same road as his dad. I personally can't stand Gene Simmons. I think he takes himself way too seriously and he's one of the biggest self promotional whores that I've seen. That being said, I can respect the fact that he made an impact in rock music.

Kiss made many many times more money than MM. Simmons said his goal was to be successful and rich

he was smart enough to know how to do that.

plus they put on good shows

I never went but a guy I knew well promised his son (who was a big fan) to take him to Kiss

the guy I knew said he had no interest in them but he wasn't going to let a 13 year old kid go to the same place where the 1979 I"d walk on you to see the Who" tragedy took place

so the next day when we were at the athletic club together he told me that Kiss put on a really good show-he was surprised (he was more of an Allman Brothers, Lynard Skynard, type southern rock fan with a fair amount of dead head thrown in for good measure)

I'm sure that's true. However, rock stars typically get laid like crazy regardless of whether they look like a chud or not. Granted, Gene Simmons, like his son, was quite handsome when he was younger which I'm sure didn't hurt.

I have never understood why he keeps his hair in that style. I think he feels it is part of his brand at this point but it does suck.

on of the LZ guys had a dildo apparently cast from Jimi Hendrix and they told some groupie they did that she was getting done by Hendrix

GF railroad's "We're an American band" makes reference to Sweet sweet connie who apparently was a legendary groupie in terms of all the rock stars she boinked

I hate to sound harsh but with so many people who are dealt bad cards in terms of illness, birth defects or having absolutely no talent its hard to get as upset when someone like her who had lots of talent pisses it away with idiotic and self destructive behavior

sure its a waste and all that talent lost but I find it hard to get really upset given she (and true I am ASSUMING she died due to her abuse of chemicals-if someone whacked her then I apologize) croaks herself

I loved Garcia's music but he brought his death on himself too

I honestly think Twisted Sister is better music than KISS, and I think Twisted Sister is really horrible.

Yeah, according to him... Marilyn Manson has had his share of beautiful women too. How the hell did he manage that? I think some women just like rock stars and don't care about anything else. But I could see why somebody like Bret Micheals got a lot of action for being super feminine and ridiculous looking, plus Poison is the kind of music women like and they did some really great ballads.

my favorite case-senior federal judge walter rice-Dayton Ohio-remarried -too his then his law clerk

she went into private practice and one of her clients was a guy charged with MURDERING HIS WIFE

Mrs Rice didn't realize that while conference rooms with prisoners cannot be wire tapped (attorney client privilege) they can be subject to tape surveillance

so Mrs Rice goes to meet with her client. after a couple minutes, she reaches down and pulls her hose off and sits on his lap and is penetrated by her client. the tape was shown (with some "editing") on various news shows

the funny thing was he filed a federal complaint claiming the then chief judge caused his federal writ to be denied because he banged the judge's wife and then he claimed INEFFECTIVE ASSISTANCE OF COUNSEL

something about "dangerous men" getting lots of women hot

So you disrespect her by saying mean things about her once she is a cold body? Does it make you feel good? You know what makes me feel good? Her music and trust me some of her songs saved ME when I was very down. Made me feel less alone.And. They will do it again and again.

Some men are attracted to bad girls too... Look at some of the men who are married to beautiful women, but then go out and cheat on them with banged up strippers and prostitutes. :shrug:

I don't get why people don't understand this.

She did have a pre-existing illness. The same kind of illness that TONS of artistically and intellectually gifted people have - a mental one. Multiple mental illnesses, in fact. And it predates any of her substance abuse problems. In fact, since mental illness has a tendency to, you know, impair ones mental functioning, it is probably the cause of her substance abuse problems. And of course, addiction is in and of itself an illness.

Nobody says to themselves "today I'm going to develop a heroin/crack habit that will destroy me." There's a lot more nuance to it than that. And people who want to stone her, and people who suffer from these problems in general, have no appreciation of that nuance. They're a bit thick. Or at least they haven't thought enough of it to have anything worth saying on the matter.

There's an x-groupie who made a documentary about groupies from the 60's and 70's. I think her name is Pamela DesBarres. In the documentary, there's a segment about Connie and her pal, who were known as The Plaster Casters. They made casts of all the rockstars. Her apt is filled with "knick-knacks". Connie is still at it.

So you know how she died? Did not think so and even if she did die from addiction no need to be a jerk. Addiction is a disease and I bet if she had cancer you would not be such a non-caring person:(

You are forgetting that not everyone is alike. Some people are more prone to addiction than others.
