Obama, in stand for gay rights, calls for repeal of DOMA

LMAO
ooooooooh so now you are changing your bull**** statement? I get it
so can I say anybody that isnt gay has no clue what that is about and you dont get to say **** anymore about anything gay???

If I were making factual statements about what it is to be in a gay relationship, or to be gay, you would be right on target...but that's not what I'm saying. Is it?

I guess a gay couple who have been together for 15 years(lived together for 10), own a house, and have a kid, and I quote "have zero clue what being married is about" LMAO thats brilliant!

That's exactly what I'm saying. The point being, that not being married and not being subject to common law spouse laws is a world apart from the other side of the spectrum. It's a completely different story, when one party can just up-n-walk off from everything.

There are plenty of gay people who are married in the US, it's just that the government doesn't recognize their marriage. And I guarantee you they know what it's like to be married.

please stop using common sense ;)

There are plenty of people who end their marriage in a very short amount of time. That was just one example. All this shows is we are the same as straight couples.

No it shows they were doing it because it was new and the in thing to do.

Again, they can walk off at any time, without recompense.

And I guarantee you they know what it's like to be married.

One spouse can't soak the other with alimony, or retirement, or house notes. It's nowhere close to being married.

I'll say it again...get married, be legally bound to that person, in, or out of love, then come talk to me about it.

No it shows they were doing it because it was new and the in thing to do.

So what about their heterosexual counterparts? Is that what they were doing? Stop believing what you want to believe about LGBT people and accept the facts. We are not all that different, and deserve to be treated equally.

well I agree you are NOT making factual statements thats 100% true but you did try to speak for all gays in which you were WRONG you said and I qoute "Gays do not understand that marriage is much more than being friends. A successful marriage takes commitment and hard work from both people." that is you TRYING to speak factual about gays and failing so yes it IS what you did LMAO

oh so a gay couple living together for 10 years, loving eachother for 15 who have a kid together and own a house together can just "walk away" LMAO HAHAHAHAHAHAHA :lamo

dude just stop I dont think you can dig your hole any deeper than it is:doh

I'm all for it. I firmly believe that when a gay couple makes a life together, especially if there are kids involved, that in the event of a breakup, both parties to the relationship be held financially responsible and the bread winner shoulder most of that responsibility.

Just don't piss-n-moan about being treated too equal.

You are different and should no be given these special rights. Marriage has been around forever so you can not compare it.

That's not common sense. That's a total lack of experience.

so it isnt common sense that there have been gays legally married in some states and others that have done many legal things to simulate marriage and who live together, have kids, bank accounts and property together but you calim them they know ZERO about marriage even though in some states they are married???????? LOL

I agree you have a total lack of experience for something called REALITY LMAO

Im almost starting to believe you are lying about everything and you are a teenager, cant imagination how else you are this out of touch with reality

I never did any such thing

Ok, short of paying child support, exactly what law is going to prevent one party from just walking away?

oh brother, well you just shed light on the subject with that statement you are not an objective person on this subject

LMAO "special rights"

legal marriage has NOT been around "forever" and if you want to talk about things being around forever gays have LOL

I never did any such thing
you absolutely did with that quote LMAO how could you lie like that?

Ok, short of paying child support, exactly what law is going to prevent one party from just walking away?

what are you talking about?
what law? who said there was a law, you said they can just walk away? like its easy.
who cares if they are really married in the state they are in
who cares about their kids
who cares about their property
who cares about the joint bank account

and lastly if you want to play silly irrational games, you are married, what LAW stops you from "walking away" NONE
you could walk away right now and live down the street, you still be married LEGALLY but theres no law from stopping you from walking away LOL

like I said with each post theres more egg on your face and you did deeper and deeper

Can you imagine the fight for kids and money if Neil Patrick Harris gets divorced?

Because I disagree with the lifestyle I am bad? I have a gay family member so don't tell me about it.

Gay sex in my opinion is crude, disgusting and immoral

I walked away from two state-endorsed marriages (each of 7 years), told 'em "do the paperwork" on my way out the door. What does gay have to do with walking away?

You said it was, "just like being married". Being, "married", involves the law. Show me what marital law applies to gays, that makes it just as difficult to walk away from a relationship. I await with bated breath.

Bad? who said that
I said you are not objective
and you are FREE to think gay sex is crude, disgusting and immoral  who said you couldnt? LMAO

I was just correcting your inaccrate and bias statements about marriage that have nothing to do with you free opinions

that wasnt the point the point was anybody in a long term relationship and kids/property cant just "walk away" much more or less than a married couple

and the FACT remains there are gays LEGALLY married the same as straights

please start adding something to the debate because so far all Im doing is getting you up to speed to reality

As far as the law is concerned--aside from child support--they can pack their **** and hit the road.

It is bias because we have to make special laws for gays. Notice every state that has put it on the election ballot as a constitutional ammedment has voted marriage is a man and a woman. Here in Florida we have already voted that way twice.

Were those marriages in the United States?

Yes. I married my HS gf, 17-24 and another 25-31. They weren't gonna give me trouble on the paperwork. I could give them power of attorney and not have a problem, cause I don't lie and they didn't want to hurt me. They did the paperwork, and I didn't turn into salt.
