Tea party to GOP: We could make 'examples' of you over debt ceiling

That has always been the right thing to do as far as I am concerned...

that wasn't the question, my friend.

I asked you, how do you feel about the govt. telling you that you CANNOT discriminate against blacks, Jews, or women..in hiring, education, housing, or in your business dealings?

You do realize this trap is obvious and will only trap you if LesGovt has any knowledge what so ever, right?

all I want to know, is if he thinks govt. has a right to tell people that they cannot discriminate against people due to their race, religion, or gender.

One of the funny, yet sad thing is that the Republicans can't agree with Obama on anything without it being political suicide. Obama's plan has the biggest cuts in spending out of all the plans, and is a rather conservative plan, and the republicans won't vote it because "the other side" is bringing it to the table.

Where is Obama's plan? The one that was voted down by all Dems and all Republicans? Or his nonplan in his speech? The one the CBO said they couldn't score, it needed to be submitted in writing.
I didn't know saying everything was on the table including Social Security was a "plan".

Nobody mentions something that is irrelevant and you're disappointed because it means you can't play the victim. Typical right-wing victimhood. Rush has you trained well.

Victim? Always creating victims; that's the liberal way, right? Obama has spent more money than any other president, and most Americans have had enough. This is why Republicans want to end the spending.

They don't.

They should have done something in 2005, then. The funny thing is that if McCain had won in '08, it would be Democrats trying to rein in Republican spending.

Partisan BS is all it is.

I answered this question. I told you it did not impact my feelings whatsoever.

Aha! Now this is a different question. Now, why should I answer you? You have virtually accused me of being in favor of racism and sexism. This tells me quite a bit about you and I am not sure why I would want to have any discussion with you. Oh, I know, if I don't answer you, you will accuse me of running away and dodging your question. I will probably answer you eventually, but you will need to treat me with a tad more respect if you expect an answer in the near-term. After all, you are not the Federal Government and you cannot tell this liberty-loving person that he MUST answer you. Now, go have a nice evening.

Thunder, would you like me to answer your question? Second, I think you missed a qualifier in my posting to which you responded virtually accusing me of favoring racism and sexism. That word was "much." Please go back and reread our exchange. Then, please let me know if you believe you have any appropriate action that you should take based on your assertion that I apparently favor racism and sexism. Please let me know and I will gladly reply. Thanks.

It is this liberal disdain that proves beyond a doubt.........The Tea Party is the best thing to ever happen to the Republican Party.........

Yep.... and its the Tea Party delusion that makes this so good. Why not just nominate Michelle Bachman for President and we can revisit this issue in 2012? Let Michelle lead or follow Ken Buck, Sharon Engle and Christine O'Donnell down the road of tea party glory.

There you go again. More silly questions based on your favorite exercise. I am not for any of the things you have suggested. You are a dolt to even think of such things. Next time, just ask what I mean if you don't know. I will gladly answer. Okay?

Hey, pal, you're the one who wants the last 78 years of legislation to disappear. How else are people supposed to take such a ridiculous statement?

I did not realize I was your pal. Somehow I doubt I really want to be your pal. And, if you would carefully read my posting, you would see that I didn't make any such statement. Now, go have a nice evening.

:lol::lol: You make this too easy. You do know that here on the internets, a person can go back and read your previous posts, right? You're either unaware of that or you don't even know what you post. Here you go, pal:

They are clueless? The Dems are clueless if they think the GOP should again accept the lies and dishonesty over the budget that they have perpetrated on Republicans by the Democrats. Personally, I am not sure that I want this tyrannical government anymore. We have to have change and the change needs to be a reversal of much of the past 78 years of the nanny state. If the Democrats want to block that change, then we might need to shut down the government. Hopefully, he will gain some type of common sense before the actual day of reckoning.

Try reading the part in bold. Those are your words, pal, not mine. Maybe you shouldn't shoot off at the mouth if you can't stand behind what you wrote.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!

Yep, I said that. And you might use a lesson in how to read English. Look at the bold part once more and see why you are in error. If you cannot find it, I'll be glad to point out your ways of error.

Oh I see. You only want to get rid of the Civil Rights Act, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and any other legislation that you consider part of the "nanny state". That makes you a much more likable and less delusional person.

I have said many times that I want to get rid of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, welfare, Dept. of Education, OSHA, much of EPA, and some other programs. I'm not delusional. These are what I want.

As for whether I am likable or not, I am not all that concerned. There are better ways to handle these issues. If you want to attempt to make me out as Scrooge, you will find that you are sadly mistaken. You will not agree with my solutions, but I do have solutions. They just don't include many of today's mistaken ways of doing things.

I am concerned about keeping the U.S. financially healthy and we are not healthy today nor have we been for quite some time. The bad trend started 78 years ago and it continues today. Hopefully, the beginning of the end will begin tomorrow on the floor of the House. I remain hopeful. :)

Yeah, right. Good luck with that. The House Repubs plans are going nowhere. It won't get through the Senate and Obama would veto it.

By the way. I know you're trying to be serious. I get that. But the above post is the definition of delusional.

So, you're saying that the Dems will be responsible shutting down the government. Got it.

No, the dems have offered compromise, while the republitards have acted as though the ought to have everything their own way, and refused to compromise. Any shutdown under these conditions will be rightly laid at the feet of republicans.

:lol::lol::lol:

Yeah, that's what I'm saying

So I guess you're of the opinion that compromise means one side gets what they want and the other side gets nothing. Though, if you're sticking to this week's GOP talking points I suppose you're going to say that the compromise is that the president gets his debt ceiling increase. That's what all of the usual suspects said last Sunday on the talk shows. I guess they forgot that the debt ceiling isn't the president's, it's the nation's, and the debt ceiling is a matter for congress not the president.

Anyway, reasonable people see that the president has been bending over backwards trying to deal with the GOP as they fold their arms and stomp their feet like little brats who can't get their way.

Like I said, good luck with that Cap and Balance crap that the house GOP wants to pass. It'll never happen. That doesn't mean that Dems want to shut down the gov't. That's just the way it goes sometimes. That's the way the legislative process works. Dems have control of the White House and the senate. It won't pass. But if you want to see who actually does want to shut down the gov't, look no further than this video:

why should compromise include tax hikes? are you saying that the dems believe all federal spending is a beneficial action that they must protect?

real compromise is both parties CUTTING stuff both parties value. not hiking taxes to appease the class warfare addicts and those who don't want any of the idiotic excessive spending cut
