Iceland mulls whaling's future

Pigs, cows, bulls are not on the endangered species list. Whales are. Pigs, cows, bulls are sustainable livestock. Whales aren't. They cannot be farmed and raised by humans, they are a wild species. When they are gone, they are gone forever. The international community recognizes this, hence the ban on commercial whaling which Japan brazenly defies every year under the pathetic guise of "research".

Let me add that it's impossible to kill whales humanely. Including your factors, it's impossible for me the agree with whale hunting.

You ever tried farming a giant aquatic creature that migrates thousands of kilometres to breed?

Who says it has to be blue whale or some other extremely large species? Whales come in all kinds of sizes.

Firstly as we have already established not all species of whale are endangered. The species of whale in question here is the Minke Whale, which is far from endangered*. Also if it's the 'wildness' of the species in question here then are you against deer hunting? Also commercial whaling isnt illegal, just regulated and restricted (see International Whaling Commission)

Have you ever met any militant animal rights advocates? They would rather people get hunted and eaten than any animal.

Yup, thats how i prefer it... honestly no lie

Being harpooned and bleeding to death over long, agonizing hours, is not what I consider humane. A quick gun shot to the head or heart of a deer is quick and painless.

I have no problem with deer hunting when it's done right. I'd say it's impossible to do the same for whales.
