Pot and driving:

huh? Comparing murder to legalizing weed. lol

You missed the point.

I'm not comparing murder to legalizing weed.

I'm showing how silly your premise is that legalizing said illegal activity would, as I think you put it, will lower the number of THC-related car crashes. If marijuana is legalized, more people will smoke it and therefore more people will probably drive while stoned. Two of my cousins smoke pot and are very, very eager to grow and sell it to make big $$$.

Where did I say traffic accidents would be lowered?

Well, I'm not sure what you're saying.

I have implied that legalizing marijuana will undoubtedly increase the number of car accidents caused by stoned drivers,

They think if it's legalized they will be allowed to do this? LOL

No. Not likely. As I did say, the number of pot smokers (not traffic accidents/deaths) may initially increase after legalization, but would later decrease. But the traffic accidents wouldn't be likely to change.

Well, they ARE potheads...

Honestly, I don't see it that way. I think not only the number of pot smokers but also the traffic accidents/deaths would not only increase, but stay at that level or possibly even increase. I surmise that there are many young, impressionable adults/teens out there who would smoke pot once legalized and then drive. I see it with alcohol, as well. It isn't banned yet God knows how many people both over/under the age limit that not only use it but drive, as well. It also depends on the age limit on smoking pot.

I wonder what the death rate/number of traffic accidents/deaths would be in regards to alcohol if it were still banned to the extent of marijuana.

Wouldn't change. Read about prohibition. Then be sure to read about decriminalization of Marijuana in Spain. Numbers rise at first, then level out over time.
