Obama Hammers Congress: Do Your Job

You apparently do not understand the graph. It does not indicate any reductions in the debt over the time period covered.

What in your opinion do all the red saw teeth, that tower above the blue teeth indicate? Like the one in year 91 of george the seconds term, that almost reached the $440 mark. Also you might want to note the name of the graph as well.

INCREASES in the NATIONAL DEBT

I could drag anther graph from another thread I was on the last couple of months but you would have trouble with it as well, it was a government graph, not Fox news. Evidently you forgot to take off your partisan shield before posting today.:2wave:

of course it can........any war supplementals belong to bush. additionally, non discretionary spending is just that, non discretionary. obama did not create it. also, bush created (at the time) record debt, which has to be serviced, and thus adds to the deficit. it's shameful for you to pretend OUR crisis belongs solely to obama.

what do you think of obama calling for a 5 year freeze on discretionary spending?

Freezing discretionary spending is a cheap political stunt.
We need to make cuts, not freezes, in mandatory and discretionary spending.

Mandatory spending is growing out of control.
Discretionary is full of absurd waste.

That's what I figured you'd say.
No matter what happens, you'll never blame The Obama.

Do you always post what you want someone to say?Your a real hoot, hope you stick around.

"The red saw teeth, that tower above the blue teeth" indicates fluctuations in the deficit, not a lowering of debt. There is nothing wrong with the title. All of the red and blue bars are increases in the national debt.

You argued that the other poster was missing some names from a list of President's that decreased DEBT. Your graph does not indicate that any of the President's within that time period reduced the debt. You are confusing deficits with the debt.

Facts never run out.

I'm glad we could find common ground. post #173
Gee.. where do you suppose I got that from.

Your response indicates that you'll continue to blame anyone BUT The Obama for whatever econominc trouble we may face.
As I said - I expected such a response. Your masters are happy to have you as their useful idiot.

What it shows me is that Obama inherited a ****ed up economy that he is trying to fix. Which is par for the course for any Dem President taking over after eight years of typical republican incompetence.
So what steps has he taken from the campaign fund raisers or the golf course? I love that you're trying to talk up Obama "trying to fix" the economy. That's funny right there.

Kinda like a baseball team throwing in mop up pitchers to clean up a game that is pretty well lost. Doin the best you can, with what you got.
If this is the best Obama can do, America's ****ed, royally.

If the economy doesn’t tank they can kiss their jobs goodbye, if it tanks we can more than likely kiss our Democracy goodbye. My2C:2wave:
Let's hope for the latter... more pain but short term, better than a long drawn out sickness leading to death.

Congress is going to work while Obama is going out to raise money for his campaign. He doesn't want to get involved because if something bad happens as a result of these negotiations he won't be blamed for anything, this is good leadership!!
29 fund raisers so far this spring

Well, no - there's an election in 2012.

That's counter intuitive.... he's supposed to be doing his best to win the respect of the American people and garner votes - at least, that's theoretically how it works. Reality is, do nothing so you don't get blamed and avoid criticism to garner votes as a do nothing. The 21st century might be called "The century of opposites".

I'm just saying that Him continuing to do what He's doing - that is, nothing - only means that we won't have to worry about Him doing nothng for much longer.

Nero fiddled, Obama golfs.

And rightly so. Considering that you’re attempting to compare a President, not yet in office three years, with eight years of republican incompetence. Comparing someone that came in office with a $250 billion surplus and left the next President, Obama, with a $450 Billion deficit, and a $10 Trillion debt. That’s a couple of big ass eggs lying on the White House steps for the next President to step over/around.

Bitching about Obama not righting the course of ship USA, that took eight years of incompetence, wars, combined with ill-advised tax cuts is ludicrous. No wonder you’re running around not wanting to talk about bush, trying desperately to keep the focus on Obama and off the cause of,what forever will now will be called the GREAT BUSH RECESSION….if we luck out.

If we don't luck out,and we let the incompetence of the republican majority in the house guide us into a full blown depression. If that happens, move over Hoover, a new republican wants your crown; his name is bush. :2wave:

What happened donc (sounds like donkey)? Thought you were going to give me some pointers on how to read graphs.

Correct - all departments are technically unconstitutional.
Except I cited the clause in the Constitution that allows for the formation of departments in the Executive Branch. Try again.

Well about time someone told Congress to do their job. They won't. They're just a partisan **** hole doing what's best for their party's power and not what's best for America. But whatever. Bunch of terrorists. Hehehe.

But in reality, I do give Obama props for this. He's completely right. Congress is decimating America for partisan, political gains and its sick. They need to do their god damned job. Otherwise WE need to be finding some mother****ers who will. Now I still hate Obama since he's still perpetuating our forever war and not really working to free America from the choke hold of government. But at least he strapped on a pair and told Congress to get up off their fat, lazy, designer suit wearing asses and get to work. Bunch of privileged assholes up on that hill.

So would a libertarian party raise the debt ceiling?

You apparently do not understand the graph. It does not indicate any reductions in the debt over the time period covered.

It also doesn't show that any spending was ever cut, and viable option for reducing the positive slope.

Except I cited the clause in the Constitution that allows for the formation of departments in the Executive Branch. Try again.

And I disagree with that interpretation.

No...sorry.....our woes stem from the Housing bubble.....brought to a neighborhood near you in the 90's, history is a bitch.
