Report: Hugo Chávez in Critical Condition In Cuban Hospital

Very true. In virtually every social/economic index, Venezuela has tumbled into the third world strata.

Umm....

Did you know that IMF projections on Venezuela is one of the biggest bones of contention over the politicization of the IMF's projections? Venezuela doesnt look so bright in some places but from the lowest denomination human aspect things are actually much brighter for the vast majority of Venezuelans. Alot of the economic hubbub doesnt apply to Ven, they're an oil rentier state.

Also blackouts were common several times a week before Chavez. 70% of electricity came from one hydroelectric dam.

Suspected Sabotage of Electric System

The Energy and Mining Commission of the Venezuelan National Assembly announced that it will open an investigation of eight Colombian ex-military employees who were detained earlier this week on suspicion of spying after they were caught taking pictures of Venezuela’s electricity infrastructure.

“There is a series of facts that demonstrate that the denunciations with regard to sabotage have basis,” said National Assembly President Cilia Flores.

The Colombians were found in possession of satellite equipment and camera images of various electricity stations, transmission lines, and transport infrastructure around the country.

President Chavez said the Colombians’ activities were part of “the desperate counter-attack of the empire,” referring to the United States, which is Colombia’s chief ally and recently expanded its continental espionage and military surveillance from seven Colombian bases. “Without a doubt, this is part of the seven U.S. military bases in Colombia,” Chavez said.

Most of Latin America is in love with socialism and always have been. They are also Europhiles.

Peru's newly elected left-winger Humala affirms this

According to the W.H.O. Cuba ranks 39th in healthcare in the world and Venezuela is down at 54th.

We rank 37th if you believe the W.H.O.

Keep in mind they are the ones that saused wide spread panic and over reaction over H1N1 and a threat that was never there.

It also caused vaccine manufacturers to switch production from seasonal flu vaccines to a pandemic vaccine that was for something that was never there of you remember.

The W.H.O. has the top 10 as being:
1 France
2 Italy
3 San Marino
4 Andorra
5 Malta
6 Singapore
7 Spain
8 Oman
9 Austria
10 Japan

I find a few of these very hard to believe.

I find it hard to believe that France is at the top of the list. I would have thought that they surrender to germs.

Chavez in critical condition? Damn! It would be terrible if the bastard died.

Ah... you actually give credibility to an election like that, you do realise he's a dictator right? He did rig the election you do know that right?

Evidence? foreign electoral observers have generally given the elections the all clear

He's about as much of a dictator as Obama is.
Give the one term president Obama a little credit. He admires Chavez and wishes he could be like him. But not until after the next election...

I wouldn't shed a tear if that tyrannical dip**** died. Frankly, it would be good news for most of the planet.

Who were they?

Lets be fair, I don't tell you the dancing goose pink goose from Mars is going to steel you,re soul and then demand that you prove otherwise. Jetboogieman claimed the elections where rigged, the onus is on him to prove this is the case

Wow, you offer proof from a pro-Chavez web site.

Yup, you convinced me...........

Chavez is a crappy leader that has strongly moved towards authoritarianism. That said, he hasn't done anything that would make me wish him dead either. I don't get why people try to make him out to be a monster or a saint.

I'm sure the blogosphere or fox news has what you're looking for.
Perhaps you should do some investigating and tear down an article of theirs

No really the anti chavez media is insane, blog articles get recycled into newspaper articles and have traveled from spain to the US in some instances and are passed as news with no retractions ever issued when the 'news' is thoroughly debunked.

I'll be around to see if any real discussion takes place. Other than wishing people we don't know about dead.

Not sure what Fox News has to do with my post, but feel free to fantasize all you like.

You post articles from an obviously pro-Chavez web site as supposed proof that he is the greatest leader since Ghandi and expect everyone to swallow it. Sorry, but you are sadly mistaken.

Try posting some information from a neutral source and you might find some credibility.

Try issuing a little study and research for yourself and debunk an article. Please do. You issued that it wasn't a neutral source, as in one with no journalistic integrity.
Do prove yourself.

Why the vitriol? Youre 2 posts in, know little to nothing about me and are spitting fighting words without knowing what youre squaring up against. Often people come into debates with preconceived notions that people who dont walk step and line with their assertions are wingers from the opposite side. It's bad for debate. Do brush up and do some homework for us and debunk an article.

I don't have to debunk your articles. All I had to do was look at the organizations that the web site supports and it was pretty clear where they stand.

As for knowing about you, I've been on this site for over 6 years now and have seen you in action many times.

Why do dictators always go to foreign countries for treatment, don't they trust their own doctors?

During his tour of Latin America he fell ill in Cuba and had to undergo immediate surgery...
But anyways long live Chavez, i hope he keeps up his good work, and keeps leading Latin America in the right direction..
He is fine and recovering swell.

So you're saying it doesnt matter if the articles are neutral or not but that simply they may not appeal to your confirmation bias as far as I can gather. If you don't want to play then stop posting.

This cat can't be bagged, bro. Your assumptions I think Chavéz is some sort of Venezuelan Ghandi are wildly misplaced and wither meant to be insulting or some sort of calling out (which is kindof strange and funny of you). Debate or issue a baseless insult so I can report you. Do something, don't dither and waste my time as you have been so far.
