Re: President Obama To Announce Details of Afghanistan Strategy On Wednesday
BS
The elimination of the Taliban as an effective force in the field? Nope
A stable central government and a reasonable expectation that a stable government will continue after our withdrawal? Negative
None of the objectives have been met and they won't be made easier with fewer grunts.
Just imagine if you were the leader of some foreign ****hole country, and the U.S. came by and gave you the "No worries, dude we're here for the long run. Be cool and sit tight
Honestly, wouldn't you be inclined to give a resounding "**** you, gringo" in return.
Obama has shown the world.... If there's one thing you can count on is the U.S. coming in with thunder and lightning, leaving with a whimper, and then watching the resulting bloodbath that comes in the aftermath.
At least, Bush had the balls to "stay the course" and was willing to have some back bone and take the criticism.
Obama...never
That's not true at all. You just want to find ways to go against the President. His plan has been right on the money.
