Palin's official Alaska emails to be released

A court case brought to force her emails out in hopes of causing her personal embarrassment and harm... there is no other rationale explanation.

More than likely, yes.

These Liberal media groups fear Palin so much they are willing to go to any length to discredit her.

What I think is they are trying to drive a nail in an empty coffin, because Palin is not running for President.

She is moving to Arizona where she could run the Senate seat being vacated by John Kyle, and I she can be elected there because the State leans Conservative and rejects Obama.

I spent most of the last 20 years there before I retired and I am proud of AZ except that while I was there Napolitano was elected, which to this day I don't understand.

Alaska governor's office to release Palin e-mails - CNN.com

This is the first I've heard of such an event taking place....

So I have a few questions for my American colleagues.

Is it common place for states to release personal and private emails of governors after they've finished their terms?

If so, what does this accomplish?

Is it really nessecary to release the private emails of any individual for any reason barring criminal prosecution?

I'm sure there's going to be people foaming at the mouth to go through these, but in my estimation, there won't be anything interesting...

I pretty much agree, Jet...

IMO....

When comparing the WikiLeak dump of classified information involving an aggregate of all levels of political entities from around the globe...it took less than a handful of weeks for the public to lose interest because a majority of people weren't getting the bulk of the releases converted into summaries. In other words...just too time consuming to read and analyze.

The Palin emails will be utterly boring in comparison. So she'll once again deny the public of what so many want and that is some kind of smoking gun to completely remove her from the political arena.

A court case started back in 2008 during the Presidential elections, brought to force her emails out in hopes of causing her personal embarrassment and harm. Let's try to be accurate, shall we ;)

Yeah, the e-mails released so far don't seem to controversial. Aside from her using a "personal" e-mail address, it seems pretty up-and-up. Waiting for the "scandal" some of these crazier leftists are salivating over...

Well, it'll keep the press off the streets (going through the emails). Anything that anybody could be engaged by was likely withheld, and frankly who cares. Seriously.

I am just waiting for the anointed one to release his college and HS transcripts

Why do you even want to know? Does getting an A in a class actually show you have competency in that subject? If Obama got A's and B's in economic courses he took would those transcripts still have the same weight you give them now?

Really? Not the fact that, at the time of the request, no one knew how she would or did govern?

These Liberal media groups fear Palin so much they are willing to go to any length to discredit her.

There is no reason to fear someone who is nothing more than talking points wrapped in good looks.

Just imagine if the media put this much energy into digging up dirt on every potential presidential candidate.

The bigger question is: why are they being kept under wraps? Obviosuly, someone doesn't want us to see something.

They'll find a puncuation error and use it as proof of, something. More than likely, they cherry pick a sinlge sentence, or part of a sentence, take it toally out of context and bleat about it for years to come.

The Libbos are so afraid of Palin, that they will do anything to drag her through the mud.

Because grades don't matter? I got a C in early American History in college. Does that tell you I don't know history or that I'm not intelligent?

That's fine. Why won't they release Obama's transcripts?

They haven't been private for anyone else.

How is that exactly? When are you asked to give out your transcripts to random people?

Palin's official Alaska emails to be released

But wait, there's more...

Palin emails redacted by same people who worked for her

My first reaction is what the hell goes on in some of these smaller states?

But then I got to thinking, a vindictive climber like Palin probably had a few folks working for her that didn't care for her...

We'll see how it goes.

Nothing is private in the United States anymore when it comes to searching out ways to demean a political opponent. It is disgusting and they are turning the country upside down and inside-out.

There is no good that will come of this. It will only be an opportunity for the many thousands of poorly educated Americans to look for anything where they might be able to find fault, no matter how trivial it might be. They are capable of anything.

As the US sinks further into an unmanageable debt, are involved in wars in three different countries (one of them illegal) the victims of the education system in the United States are focused on Sarah Palin's e-maiils.

What a pathetic thing this once proud country has become.

I can't imagine what's being learned from this:

"Todd,

I've got, like, 100 bills to sign. Could you swing by Target and get some diapers?"

The funny thing is that Sarah brings her own slippin slide to this foray. She makes it so damn easy by continually putting her mug in front of any available camera.

The Reps can't stand Biden but he doesn't thrust himself onto the spotlight thus less ammo to use for the Reps. Just relax it is all for publicity you know.

We're not afraid of Biden, the way the Leftists are afraid of Palin.

I'm only afraid of Palin with the nuclear launch codes. God know who she'd bomb.

surely she wouldn't bomb our North Korean Allies.

but all joking aside. asking for the various Emails Palin sent while Governor isn't asking too much, as proof a court granted the claim. and if the documents were open to the public then any liberal bias or mischief would be easily argued against by reading the documents themselves.

my guess? there is probably some low level corruption or maybe some dirty family laundry that was talked about on the taxpayer dime, nothing that the left doesn't already believe happened and nothing that the right is willing to forgive and forget like they've done for Palin before. All she's really doing by hiding these 2,000 some odd documents is making it seem like she really DOES have something very serious to hide. not only is she keeping technically governmental documents out of the public eye but doing so after a court order.
