After Kramer left Weiner’s office, his staff called the Capitol Police.

Police officers asked for identification. One cop told Kramer that if she went into Weiner’s office and didn’t leave if she was asked, she could be arrested.

“If you go to an office and are asked to leave, you can be placed under arrest,” Officer Michael Miller said.

Kramer responded, “But I wasn’t refusing to leave.”

Kramer was never asked to leave Weiner’s office, but the fact that the cops were called is a clear sign that the stress of this so-called “Weinergate” controversy is taking its toll. House Minority Leader Eric Cantor became the first member of House leadership to go after Weiner.

You gotta admit Weiner's having a hard time over this, his stress levels must be engorged, I can see it ending in a sticky mess.

Re: Weiner’s Office Calls The Police After CBS 2′s Marcia Kramer Asks For An Intervie

the hacking of a congressperson's social accounts is a very serious matter with potential for untold mischief

it should be investigated

yet anthony i-wanna-waiver weiner, who can't say if the picture is of him, who can't tell us exactly how the image was put out to the public, is adamant about one thing---no involvement of law enforcement

why?

Re: Weiner’s Office Calls The Police After CBS 2′s Marcia Kramer Asks For An Intervie

Because he is a democrat and democrats get away with everything.

I bet you wouldn't be saying that if Weiner were a Republican.

I guess that's the new defense talking points from the DNC to save the Weiner from himself.

The democrats want to save "their weiner".

Re: Weiner’s Office Calls The Police After CBS 2′s Marcia Kramer Asks For An Intervie

Why doesn't Weiner want an investigation into this "hacking"?

What is he afraid of being exposed?

I am only guessing, but it seems that he's trying to protect someone else for w/e reason.

It seemed like he was making a bad pun to me, though I could very easily be wrong.

How do you hack someone's :giggle: Weiner?

Re: Weiner’s Office Calls The Police After CBS 2′s Marcia Kramer Asks For An Intervie

Anthony Weiner says he is going to hire a private firm to find out how his Twitter account was hacked, although Weiner could easily go to the U.S. Capitol Police or the FBI and ask them to do it.

Asked repeatedly why he refuses to do so, Weiner replies that the whole matter is a “prank” and not “a federal case.”

The sound you continue to hear is the clanging of bells.

It is no crime to lie to the press. If caught, all you would face is a few disgruntled reporters, and most reporters are always disgruntled.

It is no crime to lie to the public. If caught, all you would face is a few shrugs and maybe (though maybe not) defeat in the next election.

It is no crime to lie to your wife. If caught, all you would face is shame and maybe (though maybe not) divorce.

But if you lie to federal agents, even if you are not under oath, you could face three to five years at Allentown.

Why pay for your own investigation when the police will do it for free? Unless you're guilty...

Just sayin..

Re: Weiner’s Office Calls The Police After CBS 2′s Marcia Kramer Asks For An Intervie

if he tells authorities he was hacked while knowing that he wasn't, he's up on charges

meanwhile:

The woman who was sent a lewd photo from the Twitter account of Rep. Anthony Weiner says she doesn’t think the New York Democrat’s account was hacked, but that he may have been trying to send the photo to a porn star with a similar name.

“Her name is Ginger — it makes sense he might have mixed us up,” [Gennette] Cordova said, referring to Ginger Lee, a stripper and porn star who follows Weiner on Twitter.

In March, Lee tweeted about wanting “sexual relations” with Weiner and, less than two weeks later, she wrote that she’d received a private direct message from the congressman. Weiner had also followed Lee on Twitter but said he stopped doing so when he found out who she was.

Weiner said in an interview with CNN earlier this week that he thinks his note to Lee was a “fairly pro forma thing that goes out” to people who follow him on Twitter.

Weiner has said he asked a lawyer to look into the hacking but hasn’t reported it to the authorities. He further fanned the controversy when he said earlier this week that the picture might be of him.

Though some reports have suggested otherwise, Cordova, who issued a lengthy statement over the weekend, said she has never supported Weiner’s claim that his account was hacked.

“Everyone’s [writing] that I backed [Weiner’s] contention that there was a hacking,” she told the Post. “But I never mentioned anything about a hacking.”
