You have no idea what you're talking about. Recreational activities help keep the prisoners under control. They are incentives to good behavior. Prisoners serving life who have nothing to look forward to will cause problems for guards and other inmates out of sheer boredom. I've seen prisoners refuse to follow directions just to make the SWAT team come in and tackle them, because they're so bored they want to break up the monotony. If inmates are rewarded for good behavior with recreational activites, and punished by taking those privileges away, everyone is better off. The inmates have incentive to behave and cooperate, and the guards have a safer job. Cake-eating civilians think these privileges are pointless, but if you actually learn something about the subject you'll see how wrong you actually are.

Who cares really? Knowing a little bit about what goes on in prison, it isnt like it will make a bit of a difference...maybe enhance the fantasies they are already jerking off to. Its not like it will change ANYTHING...incidents of rape, masturbation...I just dont see any of it being changed. Let them view hooters. The only thing I can think that it MIGHT be is cruel and unusual punishment to look at Ms August and then go to bed w/ Ms Rosy.

Seriously!, is about all you can say to such an outrageous idea. Where is the notion of serving your time sentenced in this idea. Is it susposed to reduce inmate brutality. What is the actuall reason for such a rediculous idea. Most people serving time in a jail cell are there for specific reasons. The most common committing a crime against either another human or the community. At what point do these people actually deserve anything when our constitution states (not verbatim) "we are allowed to do as we please under the constitution until we infringe on the constitutional rights of others". Once these people commit a crime no matter how bad, they relieve their rights until they have proven they are capable of being a reasonable part of society. I wonder what all the "ban porners" have to say about providing it to inmates of a prison. That should be an interesting conversation between those two groups.

Wait... is prison punishment / corrections for various bad behaviors or is it supposed to be a country club? Isn't the point of prison to pay a debt to society? I'm not for porn being allowed in prisons.... if inmates want porn they should stay the hell out of prison.
