RT presenter choked by police

RT presenter choked by police — RT

police brutality and arrests took place in Washington DC as police brutally cracked down on a crowd of people for dancing by a Washinton DC memorial...

a new victory for American style democracy and free speech and expression..

Man I couldn't believe that ****. Those cops was just treating those peaceful quite protesters like they was Rodney King. One of those cops jumped from that statue like he was a WWE wrestler jumping from a turnbuckle and cracked one of those protesters on the back of the skull with a police baton. That **** was brutal yo.It was like something that would happen in Tiananmen square.(sarcasm)

I have to wonder if any those idiots in that video care about 2nd amendment rights or do they support every anti-2nd amendment law on the books.
Police using a little extra force to detain suspects is not police brutality. Over exaggerating does not help your cause. THis is police brutality.

Point taken. Most of Europe does indeed have greater freedom of speech and expression than the U.S. I've seen that with my own eyes and know it to be true.

Those same countries were you can be arrested for saying something against gays and religious groups under the guise of hate speech laws? Those countries have greater freedom of speech and expression?

I agree that it really isn't police brutality but the police should of just said.
"This is dumb, a waste of our time and unconstitutional, we won't enforce it."
That takes balls though.

So, its your opinion that public places can be used for the people for whatever purpose that they want?

Hey everyone, bring your booze and lightsticks we are having a rave at the white house...

in countries more free than the US this is legal. public drinking is legal in many if not most European countries.

Bingo! In the end the police made a bigger deal out of the entire thing. Cops in this kind of thing must act as directed. I doubt seriously any of the cops there felt as if they were enforcing the law. More like being used by the system.

If this law were followed in the strictest since, these places could become havens of dance crime.
My 4 year old dances everywhere he goes, without hurting people or causing a public nuisance.

Which country is that exactly? American fantasy country so that you can keep believing America is free?

in Europe. thst treatment for no reason against someone who is not resisting anything, is brutal. Brutality is proportional.

I agree that they should have used some discretion especially since it is blatantly unconstitutional. No American should obey any unconstitutional law. This practice of lets enact a unconstitutional law and let it be fought in the courts for years or decades should be put to a stop and politicians severely punished for violating their oath of office.

Yeah, it takes balls to risk becoming jobless and having your kids starve and your house forclosed upon and losing your retirement because you failed to do your job, which is enforce laws.

Especially ones that have been held up to be constitutional by the Court of Appeals.

Seeing how I can own a firearm without a permit(most states do not require a permit only states trying to **** on the 2nd amendment require permits and registrations ) and I can say something offensive about any group of people and not be arrested for it then I am pretty sure my country is a lot freer than yours.

Thems the breaks when you choose a job that deals with the law.
You can understand that a lot of people won't like you or the laws that you enforce.

No one twisted any arms to make them become police.

But yea, money trumps abusing the rights of people.:doh

Appeal to authority.

I don't care what they think, when something is a clear as day like this, there is no justification, only excuse making.

When that Authority governs how we (law enforcement) operate.. yes, I will appeal to authority.

So, are you ready for a kegger on the white house lawn yet?

you never said which European country you are referring to?

you can also own a gun in Europe, but yes, it is more strickt, you need a licence. owning a gun with no licence is the freedom to risk being shot down on the street by some maniac who owns a gun without a licence. I support gun ownership by the way, but this is not a measurment of freedom.

Good on him and may he dance forever in a free nation.

That's unfortunate.

Just because they are higher than you doesn't make them right, nor does it make you right.

Then when enough arrests are made and those cases make it through the courts once again, the courts will have more cases to review and eventually will make the determination to overturn previous decisions.

"The Best way to get rid of a bad law is to enforce it"

Again, clear and present danger.
The security of the president is more important.
That same can not be said for dancing at a tourist attraction, when it hurts absolutely 0 people.

........as... a.... form... of ... protest.

Protesting INSIDE the memorials is unlawful.
Protesting OUTSIDE of the memorials is lawful.

Craft brew. I'll be there if we are drinking West Coast IPA. Dogfish Head IPA 60 works for me. (realizing Dogfish Head is brewed in Delaware, but the style is West Coast IPA)
